Sen Cruz’s mother could not have been a legal Canadian citizen at the time of Sen Cruz’s birth. Canadian law required 5 years of residence within Canada. His family move there in 1967 and Sen Cruz was born in 1970.

His mother was not a Canadian citizen, nor could she have legally been a Canadian citizen.

If that's true, than that resolves the point which the article suggests.

As long as Canada doesn’t require photo ID at the polls, what difference does it make?

Lot's of pepople have Dual Citizenship....
