God, that is so LAME. Try again Teddy.
I’m seeing a lot of liberal logic from some trumpsters making excuses for his liberalism and worshipping the man similar to hope and change obots, it sounds so much like how liberals defend liberals. I have to wonder if there’s a democrat operation chaos going on
What age did she need to be? And is this assuming he was born in Kenya? Or are you saying any child born to a woman/girl 18 or younger isn’t a NBC?
Who happens to be right.
Cruz just goes from bad to worse now and today he called Trump a "NEW YORKER", in a way that made it sound as though he was from "HELL". Cruz is showing exactly who and what he really is, which he hid well, when he was running for the Senate. He IS nothing but someone who made money his whole life sucking off the government teat and has NO real world experience. He's just the same as the other lawyer pols, who use WEASEL WORDS to lie about things.
Yes. American citizens, born to American citizen parents who happen to be abroad, are never eligible for the presidency.
I dare you to enter a military base and spout that nonsense.
Common wisdom, or a head fake? Why would Trump be the easiest to beat when he has double the poll numbers of the closest competitor?
Polling highest with likely voters among all candidates, or polling highest among likely Republican voters? There's a big difference. Most Democrats wouldn't vote for Trump simply because he is running as a Republican. But more than that, I think Trump supporters underestimate the amount of sheer, frenzied hate the Left is whipping up against him, especially among Hispanics. Trump has become what can only be called a polarizing figure. I think the logic is sound: There are large segments of the population that will make it a point to go out to vote against him because they can't stand the guy.
I would give Cruz three red spots which he deserves. Free Market deserves a red if you are defending the American jobs which Cruz doesn’t and Trump does. Red on immigration which Cruz has been squishy about and still is trying to play double talk after hedging all summer. His wife must be giving him a fit as she is OPEN BORDERS all the way. Taxes, Economy, and Trade. Cruz has no experience in anything but running for office and having a government job. his expertise in the economy is zilch compared to Trump who knows how to play the game. Trump deserves the green. Add to that, Second Amendment. Trump carries. Does Cruz? A conservative is someone who protects the country and its citizens, not sell their Sovereignty for a quick buck. Cruz has given Obama all he asked for and even lied about it.
I totally agree.
The law at the time said that because Obama’s father was not a citizen she would have had to reside in the US for 10 years (which she did) WITH 5 of those years after the age of 14. She would have had to be 19 to confer citizenship when Obama was born.
+1
I still like Cruz more than any others in the R field besides Trump. Unlike most of his vocal supporters on here, some of whom are certainly not on our side, I’d vote for him in the general. Their insanity won’t control my vote/like of him but seriously, they aren’t doing him any favors. Cruz has no shot in the general imo.
Our Country has changed.
I’ve got to say, I’m not impressed with a trained rhetorititian employing the word-games and sophistry Cruz has been engaging in.
For a “Constitutional Stalwart” and “Rock-ribbed Conservative” to use ad hominem (by definition) deflection to defend himself is troubling.
I’ve prayed for a Trump/Cruz ticket, but now I’m not so sure.
I think being called a Canadian is really PO’ing Ted...
Well, he did go to Harvard and Princeton, so why would you expect different.
gg188, the Trump bashers may have another strategy in mind. The Republican selected by party poohbahs to deliver the post state-of-the-Union address was Nikki Haley, one of the gaggle of non-citizen-parent candidates being touted as a follow on to Obama, who never claimed to be a natural born citizen. Let’s assume that Cruz and Haley, being discussed by Democrats as a likely vice presidential choice should beat Hillary, or whomever, a challenge by a Democrat, Republican, or anyone to whom a federal court deigns to grand “standing”, eligibility will go to the courts and then to Congress, which has Constitutional standing to designate an eligible replacement.
Call it a conspiracy or a strategy. Even most of our sitting Senators in 2008 agreed, unanimously, that a natural born citizen must have been born to parents who were citizens. That Senate Resolution 511, April 2008, sponsored by Obama campaign co-chair Clair McCaskill, Hillary, Leahy with others including Obama signing on to the Resolution to claim that McCain should be considered a natural born citizens, in spite of not having been born on U.S. soil (a technicality, since the Canal Zone treaty was not signed until 1937, McCain, born in 1936, was not born on our soil). I too don’t question McCain’s allegiance, but he needed a clarification by the only branch with authority to interpret the Constitution, the Supreme Court.
Are “Republicans” creating a context in which Congress could select another candidate, invoking Amendment XX? They know what Article II Section 1 Clause 5 says. They signed SR 511, even if none of them has read the dozen or so cases invoking or citing the definition. Why, after Trump, are the leading candidates, Cruz, Rubio, Jindal, and the presumed VP offering, Nikki Haley, all born to non-citizen parents? This cannot be coincidental.
Ted’s really moving up in the GOPe and Uniparty pecking order. Megyn Kelly let him on her show tonight along with Marco and Debbie Washerwoman Schultz.
True enough, but he had hidden a lot of himself, when he was running for the Senate. Now the mask is coming off.
Correct !
*I* didn't spout that nonsense: you did.
But if that is the quality of your reasoning, you're the one who needs to "begone."
