A bit of departure from his usual speech but the meaning was spot on.

Trump wants ‘flexibility’. He wants to keep key players ‘guessing’. People that support him care not what he SAYS, they care what he has DONE and what he will DO.
The question for you is not what he SAYS in his ‘apparent’ logic of illogic, the question for you is do you trust him to have your best interests in heart and mind? Supporters answer affirmatively. If you answer negatively, nothing that he says could ever satisfy you.

Well said Guenevere.. I’m going to guess that Berlin Freeper has never negotiated anything more complicated than a new car, so I wouldn’t expect him to understand what Trump is doing with Putin. He must have missed the parts of Trump’s speeches where has has spoken of having to deal with truly awful people. Doesnt mean you dont respect Vlad as a worthy adversary. And being that Berlin Freeper is supposedly living in Germany, you might think he has a clue about the problems illegal immigration causes.
A nursery rhyme/lesson all Americans should be familiar with, but aren’t because their leftwing pre-school teachers and others haven’t been doing their job and have suppressed anything remotely like it.

Funny isnt it? I told a couple Freepers a few months ago that this forum has a few who actually are plants from the elites to gather information for that side.
I try not to favor either Trump, Cruz, or Carson, which are the three many/myself would support in the election. Yet we get the constant harping from so called supporters from all sides undermining opinions from (conservative) supporters of these candidates.
Like I said, I will support any of those three. But Carson has dropped in the polls so..
Putin, the KGB man, used a few flattering words for Trump. Trump’s fed egomaniac response of gush what an honorable man Putin is. Which is exactly what Putin wanted.
You need to ignore what we witnessed to invent what makes you feel good.
Even Cruz probably is not made of the stuff required. He will adhere strictly to a Constitution that has been shredded and will do things utterly constitutionally. That will effectively transfer the dictatorship to the Bureaucracy and the Left. I do not know whether Trump as president would do what is necessary but he is the only one of them who can. Some things are going to have to be done by fiat or they cannot be done at all. Ideally Trump would do these things while pushing hard for a States Convention. He would, as the president, then keep the Convention from being shut down by Federal force. Once the Convention has done its work he wold ideally decline to run for a second term.
Do I think he would do it right? He might if he has a strict Constitutionalist as his VP. It is only might and may with Trump but there is no might or may with the others. Most of them would essentially turn the dictatorship over to Congress which would invest it, again, in the bureaucracy.
