This one is a bit surreal.
Footage from a Donald Trump rally has gone massively viral, but not because of yet another bombastic and inflammatory comment from the Republican candidate. This time, the center of attention is a song and dance routine put on by the so-called "USA Freedom Kids" during a rally that's as frightening as it is unintentionally hilarious.
A casual look at the lyrics, which are set against a MIDI-quality remix to the jingoistic "Over There" that was employed for recruitment in the early 20th century, show a tin ear for lyrics and a bizarrely confrontational worldview that fits with Trump's own bluster:
Cowardice
Are you serious?
Apologies for freedom, I can't handle this.
When freedom rings, answer the call!
On your feet, stand up tall!
Freedom's on our shoulders, USA!
Enemies of freedom face the music, câmon boys, take them down
President Donald Trump knows how to make America great
Deal from strength or get crushed every time
The unchanging, dead-on-straight angle of the camera, mixed with the cheesy techno music and asymmetrical dance moves make the whole thing seem more like a late-night Tim and Eric sketch than a presentation from a candidate for the highest office in the country.

Have to admit, I found this to be creepy when I saw it earlier today.
I just watched it, and saw nothing wrong with it, and definitely nothing “creepy.”
These kids are probably from military families and hear about patriotism and love of country(and taking out America’s enemies) 24-7. I thought they were wonderful.
There kidsâ¦.there parents probably wrote the words
The south is way more patriotic than the NE
The elementary schools down here do a lot of his
Creepy?
I find what I see on TV every time I click it on creepy. I noticed a few comments on the site: Hitler youth, North Korean, etc. I suppose some were frightened because there was noting perverse about it. I think anyone who complains about the three little charmers doing their act needs to get a life.
Bet this leftard Hugh finds all things pro-America creepy.
Goodbye, Mr. Trump.
*an oldie but a goodie*
Yeah, creepy. I dunno - maybe it’s the tones of their voices or something.
Great patriotic song. Young people are sure missing out.

Yeah, the New York Times would find this horrifying. Hitler youthish, all that tired crap. So it’s a corny song, badly produced. Ever been to a campaign rally? They have to put something up there to entertain the crowd and usually it’s some dumb local rock band playing “Sweet Home Alabama,” or something. Whatever. This is nothing. And I agree it’s just some Cruz supporter posting meaningless shite.
I saw nothing “creepy” about it.
I just watched it....and your point is?
I found nothing wrong or creepy with this
The girls are adorable. They didn’t have much time to learn their routine and what they did was good. What did you want, the Seattle Sea Gals?
What is creepy about it? A group of kids being patriotic. I like it. Much better than what passes for music these days.
On further review, the girls are a little creepy, but (as usual for me) the point of the posting was this reporter's snarky coverage.
Creepy? I thought it was great! Super to see real Americans kids performing well and dressed in the red, white and blue! Did you notice everyone clappibg along with them including what appeared to be a priest in the background?
