A Trump/Kasich Ticket?
National Review ^ | January 16,2014 | Myra Adams

Posted on 01/16/2016 11:42:34 AM PST by JSDude1

Is Trump warming to Kasich as his running mate after the last debate? If Donald Trump manages to win the Republican presidential nomination (and this is becoming less of an “if” with each passing day), then he must select a vice-presidential running mate. Surely it will be tough for The Donald to share the national ticket with anyone, but at least he will still be on top. With this decision potentially on the horizon, did Trump spontaneously drop a hint about who could be on his veep short-list during Thursday night’s Republican debate?

The answer is yes.

I have a feeling not one of the TDS folks (like you) bothered to read the article to see the supposed “hint”. It’s revealing of how stupid they are in general!

This is consistent with the tradition has having a gelding on the ticket to fill the VP spot. Dick Cheney is the only exception I can remember (since Johnson — and look how that turned out).

I think Trump will choose Rahm Emanuel, Cory Booker, or one of the other pols he’s bought. However, whoever it is, we’ll be told on FR and Breitbart he’s yuge, an America first nationalist, are fighters, and will make America great again.

Yeah Reagan Bush was such a mistake they ruled 12-years, two landslides for Reagan and they dismantled the Soviet empire and reunited Germany.

Let’s have Trump supporters weigh in on his possible choice of Kasich.

Let's go one further and weigh in on a Cruz/Bush ticket.....just to be fair since we're no resorting to fairy tail stories to demean the two top candidates.

This place is getting ridiculous thanks to a FEW zealots on each side.

Absolutely not. I could see a Cruz/Kasich ticket before a Trump/Kasich ticket.

Wow! A “what if” article with no facts, intended as a smear.

You Cruz folks are so desperate to do anything you can to deflect the truth.

No wonder you support Rafael.

Reagan/Bush. Bush was Reagan’s big mistake.

Bush was forced on Reagan, he wasn't his choice.

This is what the GOPe did to Ronald Reagan when they saddled him with GHWB.
Trump had got to know this would be the kiss of death.

So, we pick an outsider for the president and get an insider for the VP slot?

If Trump wants to shake up the system this wouldn’t be the way to do it.

It makes sense. Kasich is a policy guy, he’s been in Congress and has done a very good job as Governor of Ohio. He could bring a key swing state and might make the difference between President Hillary just on that basis alone, we all know how the Electoral College system works.

THe fact that FReepers like to ridicule him, and that I’m sick and tired of hearing the word “mailman” aside, it’s a sure bet he would be on the short list.
