Thank you FRiend, it would help if FReepers would actually view the verbatim exchange before going absolutely ape-feces.

Posted again for those with comprehension deficits:

This is what was actually said:

"That sounds like a very big case. I'd do the public a big favor," Trump told the ABC host. "It's a good idea. Maybe I'll talk to them about it. I'd like to talk to Ted about it, see how he'd feel about it. Because you know, when I file suits, I file real suits."

Right out of the Obama playbook... Leftist tactics on parade. Remember how Obama won his senate seat in the Illinois legislature...

This is how a losing candidate behaves, winning Republican candidates don’t attack from the left using kook conspiracies like this, they talk about ideas, vision, and conservative principles to defeat the left.

Trump is the left.

Trump is a loser, this is clear indication his campaign is headed down to the gutter where all those NY values he talked about on Russerts video reside.

Couldn’t agree more with you. Trump and the Clintons have a long relationship and this would be a idea way for Trump to gain favor with a Clinton administration..
All the Trump zealots praise his deal making abilities. Wouldnt it be ironic if Trump made himself a sweetheart deal and hands the election to the democrats.

Trump's bankruptcies were strategic business decisions in dealing with banks. They weren't obscured. They didn't leave him with gratitude owed to the banks. They don't run counter to his narrative.

What's your point?

The Trump/Cruz fallout has touched off a nasty civil war on FR, the likes of which I have never seen since I joined.

I agree.

I basically like both guys. I'd vote for either of them.

While I have certainly seen Trump supporters attack Cruz but over the past 7 months or so I don't think Trump people have made a special effort to destroy Cruz. But the anger and hatred directed at Trump is amazing to me.

I honestly don't understand why so many Conservatives hate hate hate Trump. Sure, he's not perfect, but the guy attacks the Establishment, the government bureaucracy, the IRS, and the media. He's what I have been looking for. But many Conservatives hate his guts.

I really think it's weird.

Full disclosure: I have tried to only be positive about Cruz but the situation here has recently gotten so bad, that I have taken swipes at Cruz. I'd still vote for him, but I prefer Trump and if Trump is going to be attacked non-stop, then I won't sit back and play nice. That's the whole GOPe game right there. So now I'm one of the jerks making negative comments.

Trump will indeed sue if he cannot manuever somebody else to do that for him.....that's how he works....intimidation, and using courts and government to obtain what he wants.

The question is does Trump really believe he can throw his weight against the power that's behind Cruz???? Trump reminds me of Nebuchadnezzar.....and we know where he ended up for all his buffoonery.

From edible Cruz to ineligible Cruz.

Cruz might be many things, but 'edible' is not one of them unless we're talking about African cannibals.

On the other hand, perhaps 'InterceptPoint' is trying to tell us something? LOL

Hillary, take notice: Trump is a bare knuckle fighter. You haven't dealt with this type of Republican before.

As Trump said, this is war...and the fate of the country hangs in the balance.

Since Cruz gas argued in front of the Surpremes before and won and Trump has about as much knowledge of the constitution as he does about the darkside of the moon, it would be a mis-match.

Thanks for posting the truth. I'm so sick of the misrepresentation around here. When Trump says he'd like to talk to 'Ted', this sounds more friendly than not.

I think they're working in tandem and the animosity comes from those that aren't in the know.

Good. It’s time to know whether or nor we can have a foreign born President. If the court says it’s OK , then we know what we are dealing with.

He said he would “consider”.

The reaction from the Cruz supporters says they still don’t understand how they could be losing to trump.

I can’t find anything in campaign law that says personal loans based on personal assets as collateral need to be reported. These were not loans to the campaign and were not the responsibility of the campaign to pay back.

The last I read, they were waiting for the FEC to make a determination and if need be, they would file an amendment.

I'm wondering if Rubio isn't a better fit for Trump.

Demographically Rubio would be a better fit...but good Lord I hope not.

Remember the search and discussion to find another candidate to challenge 0 Finally a case was filed in CA. Other candidates do have standing.
Standing can be equated to harm. In this situation Cruz, Rubio, Santorum , Jindall and even Trump could be used to clarify the issue. IMO the most damaged is the RNC if any of them do not qualify. They are the ones who should insist on settled law Using each or all as parties to the request.

Xxxxxxx this post today points out an even greater concern: SC appointments

.......
In his emails to the Guardian, Tribe discussed Cruz’s own approach to constitutional issues, noting that under “the kind of judge Cruz says he admires and would appoint to the supreme court - an ‘originalist’ who claims to be bound by the historical meaning of the constitution’s terms at the time of their adoption - Cruz wouldn’t be eligible because the legal principles that prevailed in the 1780s and 90s required that someone be born on US soil to be a “natural born citizen.”

He added: “Even having two US parents wouldn’t suffice for a genuine originalist. And having just an American mother, as Cruz did, would clearly have been insufficient at a time that made patrilineal descent decisive.

“On the other hand, to the kind of judge that I admire and Cruz abhors - a ‘living constitutionalist’ who believes that the constitution’s meaning evolves with the needs of the time - Cruz would ironically be eligible because it no longer makes sense to be bound by so narrow and strict a definition.”

Tribe said: “There is no single, settled answer. And our supreme court has never addressed the issue.”
