"I don't think Ted Cruz has a great chance, to be honest with you," Trump told ABCNews Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos in an interview on "This Week" Sunday. "Look, the truth is, he's a nasty guy. He was so nice to me. I mean, I knew it. I was watching. I kept saying, 'Come on Ted. Let's go, okay.' But he's a nasty guy. Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him. He's a very -- he's got an edge that's not good. You can't make deals with people like that and it's not a good thing. It's not a good thing for the country. Very nasty guy."

Campaigning Saturday afternoon in South Carolina, Cruz did not hold back when it came to his "friend" Donald Trump.
"It seems Donald has a lot of nervous energy -- it seems Donald doesn't react well when he's going down in the polls," Cruz said. "You know in terms of a commander in chief, I think we ought to have someone who isn't springing out of bed and tweeting in response to the latest polls. Stable and steady and a calm hand to keep this country safe." Trump sent a series of tweets aimed at Cruz early Saturday morning.

Stephanopoulos told Trump that some legal scholars have suggested Trump himself would have standing to sue Cruz.
"Oh, that's an interesting case. Wow, that sounds like a very good case. I'd do the public a big favor," Trump responded, but he would not say whether he'd actually file such a suit. "It's a good idea-- maybe I'll talk to them about it. I'd like to talk to Ted about it, see how he'd feel about it. 'Cause you know, when I file suits, I file real suits."

NYS is my home state. I and some other conservatives here agree with Cruz.
And Trump does have "NY values". Trump has admitted to having NY values.
So why on earth is it considered politically incorrect to address something that Trump defines himself and then admits??
Beyond that Trump's deflection using 9/11 was a disgrace.
If (Once) Trump takes Iowa then it’s in the bag for him.
If he does not take Iowa then he waits until NH, SC are won and then it’s in the bag.
At that point he will garner many GOPee supporters who want to be on the winning team and Trump will also start a kiss-and-make-up plan with the other candidates.
I also believe Trump will tell GOPee bigwigs in private that he will ‘play ball’ for their team... it will be a LIE to stave off a 3rd party run by a RINO to deny him enough electoral votes to win outright and send the election to the house. Trump plays a hard game.
The other candidates will be jockeying for a spot in the cabinet or as VP.
I still hope for a Trump/Cruz ticket
Once Trump has the nomination wrapped up he will really start grinding the likely Dem candidates into dust.
No way things go much past March without everyone realizing that Trump will not only win the nomination but also the presidency.
It the dems run Bernie or Biden then you can be certain they have realized they are going to lose and are putting in a Dole as designated loser.
Hillary would do so bad that it would ruin their chance of retaking the Senate so IMO Hillary is out.
Why is Trump ashamed of having people know his mother was born in Scotland?
What’s there to be ashamed of?
“Cruz does no like NY values but he sure likes NYC money, hypocrite!”
Ok, if i accept your (incorrect) premise:
TV Star 1. Likes NYC $ 2. Likes NY values
Ted Cruz 1. Likes NYC $ 2. NOT LIKE NY values
math isn’t hard and 1 outta 2 wins my vote.
I see it pretty much the way you see it. Cruz (my guy) will give Trump a run for his money but Trump will win it hands down.
Half the Dems will either sit home or cross over and vote Trump. This is especially true if Hillary is the nominee. Either way, Trump will walk away with it in a landslide.
He will be strong on the border, trade, military, national sovereignty issues. He will be a pragmatist on everything else, which means he will not be held to anything he has ever said in the past. He is not a social conservative except where it comes to mom and apple pie. The very reasons conservatives like him and dislike him are all true, and we’ll deal with that at length over the next 8 years.
I would like to see Cruz as his VP, which is why I don’t want the campaign to get so ugly that the loser can’t support the winner. I do think he expects that he can buy off the GOPe and the conservatives so that he isn’t worried about uniting the party behind him. I’m not so sure, which is again why I really don’t want this thing to get ugly. One thing, once Trump is sure he has it in the bag, the personal taunts and attacks on Cruz will stop, and he’ll start going after Bernie and Hillary.
Post your anticapitalism links on DU.
Uh oh. Trump better be careful. He may get another warning from Mark Levin.
Could you post that photo 100,000 more times, plz? I mean, in case we forget. Pretty please? /s
Go Trump!
“Post your anticapitalism links on DU.”
Neither Martin Armstrong, nor myself are anticapitalism.
Crony capitalism is not capitalism.
For the record, both of us spent our careers on Wall Street and know the score.
Most people didn’t like John Addams back then either. He was still a great man.
Trump has been the poster boy for Crony Capitalism.
“Crony capitalism is not capitalism.”
Goldman Sachs owns the majority in every congress and milks us for billions.
Cruz is married to Goldman Sachs and can’t put her into a blind trust.
“Why is Trump ashamed of having people know his mother was born in Scotland?”
Nothing at all in my opinion. But I’m just thinking that he’s worked up due to the sort of snarky (which of course perfectly legit in a campaign mind you...) way he said it to DT, and the fact that it’s not really relevant... which Trump pointed out when he said I was born here. Bad analogy to me. Anyway, based on his demeanor while that exchange was going on, I think it bugged him.
FWIW, Cruz is a legit friggin citizen and I like both of them. That was a stupid analogy by Cruz, and Trump going after him with the 911 card is just as Stupid to me...everyone knows what he means by NY Values.... Cumo, Gun Control, etc.
I am one of those people who defends my hometown, for good or ill. There has been plenty of both.
