Two key words "When Needed". He didn't go around the nation making excuse my french an ass of himself. He was also very self disciplined a quality lacking in Trump. Just as Reagan often had the right word for the moment her also knew when not to speak. His debates were adult in nature based on facts.
A very different United States elected Ronald Reagan. It was a nation which at that time many had turned back to GOD. WE also knew where Reagan stood. He wasn't a I'm a Liberal issues and candidate supporter this election and a Conservative the next. There is no legitimate comparison of Trump to Reagan except Trump is everything Reagan wasn't. Reagan would not degrade the office of POTUS and an election in to a Pee Wee Herman arguing with Francis in Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
The Conservatives are fixing to loose this election and The Donald whether he will win or loose will be the reason why. If he keeps running his mouth attacking Cruz rather than Hillary and Sanders he will loose the primary. Rubio/Christie or Rubio/Bush or Rubio/Paul will get it. Maybe this has been planned all along? That combination will cost the GOP an election that should have been an easy win. We sure needed a fighter but we sure don't need one who attacks the Conservative base candidates doing the dirty work for the DEMs. Trump in no way reminds me of Reagan he reminds me of off the wall here, there, everywhere, authoritarian Bloomberg and the NYC political machine and on that Cruz is right about NYC values.
I think Trump likes attention and I mean by that any attention. Thus the idiotic stunts he pulls. Kinda like watching about 5 persons Fox News always shows as the GOP voice who have to be in front of a camera daily. Two are senators and have ran for POTUS.

My original post was simply to defend against the silly notion that Reagan was “mild-mannered.” A silly idea. I like Trump and I will vote for Trump if nominated. He does not remind me of Reagan and I have often pushed back against that idea. He reminds me of Truman.

trump don’t have to spend money. The MSM supplies all the pr anyone could ever hope to get for free. And then, if Trump gets the nod, the same media will turn on him and release everything they are now holding back

They would have by now. The LAST THING they want is to see a populist Republican get as far as Trump - as Trump can actually WIN in November, despite their best efforts. Their priorities are pretty obvious:
1) Bush
2) Walker
3) Rubio
4) Cruz
5) Trump
(with a few of the kiddies in between)
Perhaps the fact that most of the ‘quotes’ attributed to him lately are completely twisted or made-up might relax you a bit.
