EL Trumpo says that his movement is bigger than Reagan’s, because why not say you’re better than the greatest president in the last generation?

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he’s building a movement bigger than that of former President Ronald Reagan.
“I think that the closest thing I can think of is Reagan, but I don’t think it’s the intensity that we have,†the billionaire told Mark Halperin and John Heilemann of Bloomberg’s With All Due Respect just minutes after he finished a rousing speech to a capacity crowd of 10,000 inside a Pensacola, Florida, arena on Wednesday night.
“Now, Reagan had a little bit of this, but I don’t think to the same extent—but he also won,†Trump said.
Trump sought to emphasize that those who turned out to see him speak weren’t simply there for entertainment value.

I didn’t realize it at the time, miss marmelstein, but no, it certainly did not help.
I- & DH,too, would have been delighted to vote for Sarah Palin. We simply couldn’t bring ourselves to vote for McCain. We did vote for Romney, though (don’t regret it. It just didn’t matter- anymore than it would have if we had voted for McCain/ Palin).
Yes, but on the other hand if he comes out on top and the only choice is Donald or the democrat candidate- Then what?
This country is on its last legs and it cannot survive another Liberal- Democrat or Republican.
And yet we have no idea If Donald will even stick to his “Declarations” on issues. He has a very liberal past.
And yet He may be the only shot we have. A very risky one indeed.
I do wish that we had a candidate for a change with the bravery of Trump. The convictions of Cruz, and without any birth issues.
In other words- I wish we had another real Ronald Regan.

We are suffering one egotistical narcissist as POTUS right now we sure don’t need a new one. His long term record on issues is all over the place. What is The Donald today? Anyone know? I’m not buying Dr Donalds Snake Oil. He’s doing this all for a reason and I don’t think it’s for the reason many are thinking or wishing he is.

Yeah, I think that’s something we can all agree on! But we don’t have another Reagan, no one even comes close, so we must play this hand.
I don’t like any of them at this point. Normally I’ve made my choice by this stage. This year .... the more I see the less I like.

I agree. If he has the capacity to put away DT the entertainer and do DT the self-restrained statesman, he had better start displaying that ability, so the public can see it and believe it. I’m so tired of Obama’s “it’ll work because it’s MY presidency, and I’m THAT special” attitude. I do not want to have another president like that.
