Prague (AFP) - Czech President Milos Zeman, known for his fiery anti-migrant comments, said on Sunday that it was almost impossible to integrate the Muslim community into European society.
"The experience of Western European countries which have ghettos and excluded localities shows that the integration of the Muslim community is practically impossible," Zeman said in a televised interview.
"Let them have their culture in their countries and not take it to Europe, otherwise it will end up like Cologne," he added, referring to the mass New Year's Eve assaults on women in Germany and elsewhere.
"Integration is possible with cultures that are similar, and the similarities may vary," pointing out that the Vietnamese and Ukrainian communities had been able to integrate into Czech society.
Zeman, a 71-year-old leftwinger and the first-ever directly elected president of the Czech Republic, has repeatedly spoken out against the surge of migrant and refugee arrivals in Europe.
Earlier this month, Zeman claimed the influx was masterminded by Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood which uses money from several states to finance it in a bid to "gradually control Europe".
Late last year, Zeman called the surge in refugee numbers "an organised invasion," urging young men from Iraq and Syria to "take up arms" against the Islamic State (IS) group instead of running away.
More than one million migrants reached Europe in 2015, most of them refugees fleeing war and violence in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, according to the United Nations refugee agency.
But few asylum seekers have chosen to stay in the largely secular Czech Republic, an EU and NATO member of 10.5 million people, with the majority heading to wealthier Germany and other western EU states

While next door there's the Christian (Lutheran) conservative (Christian Democratic Union) Angela Merkel, who (still) says to migrants flooding into Germany, "We can do this."

One of the benefits of being behind the Iron Curtain was that while the leadership were Soviet Stooges, it was not a preferred destination for Muslim invaders, as Western Europe was.

The Czech leader has it right. It is like letting the wild animals out of the zoo and expecting them to behave.
The German State forcing extreme and divisive social-engineering policies on their own nation, and on the EU is something reminiscent of fascist Germany 75 years ago.
The policies are different, but the attitude remains the same.
A few will be able to stop raping, burning and murdering and stop being savages. It’s not worth the effort so kick them all out.
Why would any fundamental Muslim take up arms against ISIS.
ISIS is following the Koran and and the example set by Muhammed to the letter.
The better alternative for Muslims is to invade Kafir nations and destroy those nations for Islam, as Allah and Muhammed want.

Look at the experience with allowing massive Muslim immigration into France. Muslims have not integrated into French society and are increasingly living in Muslim enclaves where non Muslims are not welcome.
Islam has been trying to ingratiate all countries into it for 1300 years.
Dunno for sure — but I suspect the world “conservative” in the name of her party means nothing like our idea of conservative.
Integration is a two way street. If one side is willing to integrate and the other is not, it will not work. That’s what’s happening here and only the willfully blind don’t see it.
Kind of like when Yeb! and McCain call themselves conservative.......
Isn’t a left-wing Czech close to a moderate or right-wing German?
Havel and Klaus left very big shoes to fill, and as the article points out, Zeman is a lefty, but I’m starting to warm up to him a bit.

Prague, Czech Republic - Russia is orchestrating, coordinating, and funding the ongoing invasion of European countries by Muslim, military-age males, the Czech Defense Minister shared with IDNES.cz on October 10th, 2015.
According to Martin Stropnicky, the Defense Minister for the Czech Republic, he was informed by the Hungarian Defense Minister Istvan Simicsko that Russia was financing the busing of military-age Islamic males across the borders of the Balkan nations.

Speculation has been rife for some time now that Russian forces have been plotting a ground invasion to retake the former satellite states of the Soviet Union, and eventually capturing the European capitals.
The overwhelming of these nations' borders, social services, and law enforcement mechanisms would destabilize and weaken the internal security controls when Russian military units would make their move.
"The Russian Federation does not desire a unified and cohesive European Union," Stropnicky said in the interview. "I do not envision the current invasion ceasing anytime soon."
