Seriously? For one thing, Cruz is going to need allies among the Republican establishment and Mary Matalin (”Mrs. Carville”) is extremely influential within the party. She has been a consultant and advisor to Republicans for almost 40 years. She served under Reagan, GHW Bush, G. Bush and was an advisor to Dick Cheney. Her support would/will be valuable to any Republican candidate, even Donald Trump.
Furthermore, if you’re going to draw conclusions about candidates by their associates and those who’s support they seek, you’d discard Donald Trump out of hand, which would be equally assinine.
