(Flashback 10 yrs ago): Cops Found Ted Cruz's Wife on Roadside, Thought She Was a Danger to Herself
Yahoo News ^ | 01/18/2016 | Inside Edition

Ted Cruz‘s wife, Heidi, was once so depressed that a police officer wrote: "I believed that she was a danger to herself."

The incident happened in 2005 shortly after Heidi quit her high-powered job at the White House and moved to Austin, Texas, to be with her husband, who was state solicitor general.

Police responded to a 911 call about a woman in a pink shirt sitting next to an expressway and found Mrs. Cruz sitting on the ground ten feet from speeding traffic with her head in her hands.

Great observation and absolutely true. It’s all there to see.

One wonders how long an article would stay up if the subject were that broad married to Trump who posed naked...Oh, sorry, I meant that paragon of saintly wife- and motherhood.

This article is already circulating and it is good for FR posters to be aware of it. I do not know who dug it up and it is not necessarily any of the competing candidates. This type of journalism is how reporters for various publications make their names and money. I admire both Heidi and Ted Cruz for their accomplishments which are pretty impressive given they ages. I wish them both a continued productive and blessed life.

She’s more than a snake, she’s medusa (sp?).

I’m thinking, praying, that she’s gotten too close to too many over the years who now have the opportunity to bite back, and finally *the snake has turned* so to speak.

And they’ll be welcomed back with open arms when they show up again, as long as they’re saying what some want to hear.

Yes, this is why good people don’t want to run for President.

People who print this in their paper are scum.

And, of course, now we know that Obama would never let Heidi own a gun.

It is ok to print this on FR so that we may do as we are doing, comment on the [expletive deleted] media.

Also, Cruz should comment on it. I’m for Trump but I believe it would be fantastic if Cruz would comment on it and the media bringing up an intimately low moment in the life of a candidate’s spouse. And to mention that Barack Obama would not want Heidi to ever be able to defend herself with a firearm. I think this is a great open. EVERYONE has been depressed. If they’ve lived long enough, SOMETHING didn’t go your way, SOMEONE died, and you may have needed mental help. Which then takes away your second amendment right according to Punka$$ Obama.

The actual police report is more enlightening

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/1688866-cruz-incident-report.html

He home was just a few blocks away. 1/3 of a mile. Looking at the map, the on ramp is srrounded by a grassy area. The only place not in someone’s yard. The only place to sit. Her actions make almost perfect sense. Something like she went on a walk and was deep in thought and sat down to clear her head. (Speculating).

The report described as “heavily redacted” is also strangely redacted. My hunch is it may have been redacted by someone to reflect an inaccurate picture of the event. The question is who redacted it? Austin PD or Buzzfeed?

If I had to choose, it would be Buzzfeed (or the person giving the report to Buzzfeed). The redactions just don't make sense. Why redact the actual offense and not her address, birthday, etc. Is it because the offense was a simple trespass because she was in an area which prohibits pedestrians? That is not slimey enough. Surely, being depressed is not an offense.

Now...in my world pedestrians are prohibited by law from being on an expressway. That includes the grassy areas next to the on/off ramps. Any LEO would tell you you are putting yourself in danger if you remained in that spot. No surprise there but again, the redactions seem to be tailored to give the impression she was in such a deep depression, he thought she might be close to ending her life.

I am glad the article was posted. Someone is playing dirty and I, for one, prefer to know when & how. I also want to know who. I am leaning towards Rove & GOP-e simply because of the Austin TX connections. Also because a records search turns up empty. IOW, someone had to know of this by means other than a simple internet search.

The New York Slimes, doing the DNC and GOP-e’s bidding as usual.

I don’t care if Cruz wrote about it. It’s the sleaziest of sleaziest attacks to go after a candidate’s wife like that.

What a bunch of stinkers Yahoo News employs. This is germane to the current elections in what way? This is part of their war on women-—right?

I'm assuming the next smear attempt will tell us that Heidi served TWO starches with dinner and wears white after Labor Day...

I agree that it's irrelevant. I'm more concerned about her selling bad paper to retirees, widows and orphans while working for an organization that almost brought down the entire world of finance while paying itself with money borrowed from the people of the United States.

Who hasn't sat disconsolately on a curb somewhere trying to figure out their next move?
