Ted Cruz camp: 'Blow to Sarah Palin' if she endorses Donald Trump
Washington Times ^ | 01/19/2016 | David Sherfinski

A spokesman for Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign said Tuesday it would be a "blow" to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin if she endorsed businessman Donald Trump for president.

"I think it [would] be a blow to Sarah Palin, because Sarah Palin has been a champion for the conservative cause, and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly, she would be endorsing someone who's held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion," Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler said on CNN's "New Day."

Mr. Trump, after all the money you dumped into this project it would be an awful shame if the application for your building permit got lost.

That's called GRAFT. It is illegal. It is corrupt. It is SOP for Crony Capitalists and crooked politicians.

I do not want a president that has participated in such corruption. A man who has bought influence would have no qualms about selling it.

So you are OK with corruption so you have no problem with Trump?

But Ted Cruz........ What?

Sounds like a threat, not a good idea.

Nobody knew about the Clinton Foundation except for what the msm parroted for them. Many odd entities cheerfully contributed, only to be embarrassed later.

Agree.
I’m sad to come back and see so many Trumpeters on FR. It’s tragic. Such a great conservative candidate in Ted Cruz.

It sure does...a veiled threat.

The GOPe is loving this. Both candidates need to cool it fast.

If Sarah Palin is in Iowa, there would have been reports of her being seen by now.

Personally, I’d be disappointed if she endorses Trump at this time.

I give Donald Trump no pass.

This was the:

CLINTON FOUNDATION

Anyone so naive as to believe that this was not a slush fund for the Clintons is too stupid to be president.

trump has shown no sign of being anything but an incipient dictator. But you do well to be in his cult. You no longer believe in the Constitution or conservatime government. Peace to you in your choice.

Ted Cruz Verified account
‏@tedcruz

I love @SarahPalinUSA Without her support, I wouldn’t be in the Senate. Regardless of what she does in 2016, I will always be a big fan.

......”If Palin supports Trump, it will be a blow for conservatism, not just Palin. I hope she stands by Cruz.”......

It’s looking more and more like that is the agenda.....’destroying conservatism’....Trump’s perverted it beyond recognition already. ....Should Palin put her seal of approval on Trump then she’s simply not the conservative she’s claimed any more than Trump is.... We shall see?....Meanwhile the media is going to run with this as Trump hoped they would...That will give him the sustained media focus he cannot survive without.

‘Any senator who votes (to move forward with debate on the House measure) is voting to give Harry Reid the authority to fund Obamacare,’ (Cruz’s words, not mine).
He made that statement the day before HE VOTED FOR OBAMACARE.
Cruz is starting to look like a career politician slime ball.
I will vote for him if he is nominated, but frankly, the more I learn about him, the more it is apparent that he is not a bonafide conservative, he is a Boehner-fied conservative.
A fake.
A Harvard man.

Make no mistake...Trump well knows what the Clinton Foundation is about, then and now. It’s just another one of his tactics to brush off the stench he carries by “playing” another card in his hand his supporters will bet on.

I am glad to hear that Cruz is not the dictator that you are looking for. After your last post where you talked about wanting a dictator like Hitler or Stalin I am very glad that you are Trump supporter and not on Team Cruz.

I don’t want a dictator, but, in the booth, if I were to see Hitler or Clinton, I would have to say to myself...which would support and protect our nation?
The check mark would not go to Clinton.

Please go ahead and go through my posts...you will see I’ve been very very Pro Trump since the start...it has only been in the last few weeks I’ve voiced concerns....And mostly because of the way he has been so vicious against Cruz.

I am still pro Trump and unfortunately my 2nd choice is actually Christie. I think Cruz’s appeal is too narrow, but if he should win the nomination obviously I’d have to go with that.

If you check out my posts you would find I like Trump for prez, Christie for AG and Cruz for solicitor general before the Supreme Court. I just am not cool with Trump’s “smash_n_grab” strategy

Palin realizes what has happened in the past. Conservatives have killed each other and the establishment has stood aside and let them do so.

Trump’s conversion to conservatism begin on 9/11 when he saw NY & NJ Muslims celebrating. I think that opened his eyes.

The conversion began in earnest in 2011...but not as a politician. As a businessman.

At this point, he leads in every single state except for Iowa. Iowa will be so close that a 2nd place there won’t matter. We’ve known this for weeks.

So, do we get the establishment again, or do we go with a gamble?

If we don’t stop illegal immigration, then Texas will be the prime target. If we lose a conservative Texas, then this nation will be transformed to a 3rd world peonage.

It‘s like getting a endorsement from Jack Kemp.s like getting a endorsement from Jack Kemp.

You need to pick somebody else to disparage. Jack Kemp‘s influence was yuge!

THE IMPORTANCE OF JACK KEMP

"When you tax something you get less of it, and when you reward something you get more of it."

With that simple exhortation -- and this is a man born to exhort -- Jack Kemp changed his party, changed his country and, ultimately, changed the world.

"This primary is over."

I agree.

But the Cruz constituency is critical for a general election victory. If they are not aboard and don't show up, it will be an electoral disaster.

Be gentle and engaging.
