Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad would like to see Ted Cruz defeated, he said on Tuesday.
The Iowa governor, whose powerful network of supporters is a prized political commodity, was speaking to reporters at the Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit. Branstad's son Eric is leading efforts to portray the Texas senator as hostile to ethanol, a narrative Cruz has been trying to stifle in recent weeks.
Asked if he'd like the Texas senator to lose, Governor Branstad said, "Yes."
"I think it would be very damaging to our state," he continued, according to Iowa's Channel 13 news. "I believe it would be a big mistake for Iowa to support him."

Remember Trump supports ethanol subsidies, like any good liberal does.

Deploy the 0bama defense to these challenges
1) The legal challenge is not ripe, until a candidate is selected
2) The candidate is selected the legal challenge is moot
3) Nobody has standing to pursue a legal standing.
4) The respective State level Secretary of State cannot review or challenge the eligibility of a DNC or RNC candidate for POTUS.
5) He’s Hispanic, he is above reproach, and only a bigot would file a legal challenge.
Just say’in, that legal defense posture worked for 0bama

Yes and 99 Senators apparently hate Ted Cruz. He couldn’t get a single vote of support on a procedural vote a while back. What a way to win allies and advance your agenda.

If she endorses Trump as he is saying Ted is nastym ineligible, dishonest etc, then she is just the bottom of the barrell.
I defended this woman for years and now she endorses this worthless pos in Trump, with yes NY values.
Even if she only appears with Trump, with out a full endorsement even, its just as bad.
Maybe Brandsted is going to be Trump’s endorsement.
Branstad is GOPe. Supposedly his guy is Christie but he’s too low in the polls to endorse. So obviously here everybody can see the SS Cruz is taking on water. Cruz is about to get dog piled. Bad. Trump, Palin, Branstad, Rubio, probably Grassley & Ernst, etc. are going to hit him hard. It’s over. He’s done. Once Cruz crashes out Christie moves up the pecking order. Maybe the GOPe is hoping to get him as Trump’s VP. Who knows.

You under-estimate popularity of governor Branstad in Iowa. He is the longest serving governor, and still popular. That is amazing performance.
Main problem is not many like Rafael Edward Cruz.
Since the Donald made $1,000,000 million loan from his father grow into $10,000,000,000 net worth, he has earned the right to play king maker. No body is stopping you to do the same thing, IF you have the skills.
Oh, c’mon. Cruz, with the full force of his deep knowledge of the Constitution, said in 2011 that birthright citizenship is in the Constitution, so the only way to stop it is to keep people out of the US. (I guess that means all of his H1B workers couldn’t give birth while they’re here). The statement this summer says “end birthright citizenshipâ€, but he never mentioned that according to his beliefs it would take a Constitutional amendment. Cruz can’t make turn arounds like that. Either he is a Constitutional scholar or he isn’t.

Never mind about the havoc ethanol wreaks on small engines. I drive 20 miles to get pure gas for all my small engines. Luckily there is a COOP that carries it here locally. If you cant get ethanol free there is an additive you can use that mitigates most of the ethanol damage. Engine Energy Fuel Additive. Not as good as running straight gas, but better than the ethanol gas without it.

Yep. Next debate should be interesting after it came out Cruz could not get one Senator to second a vote he wanted to have. 99-1 never looks good and with at least one other Senator on the debate stage to twist the knife Cruz is done. Stick a fork in him.
The smart move was to tell Iowa to eat their peas, who needs to win Iowa anyway.

We will soon have most of the shale oil producers going belly up can't make money on shale when gasoline is at 47 cents a gallon. OPEC is not exactly stupid in case we have forgotten.
