I think it was a death sentence to Trump’s campaign. Trump was relying on blue collar Democrats to get him over the hump. They all just bailed. In addition, Conservatives that were for Cruz now need to make a very big decision as this election was just put back into their hands.

If they decide Trump is another RINO with some good rhetoric and he is the nominee, they will stay home as they did in 2012.

Game, set, match Democrats. And Trump can mark off, “ran for President” on his bucket list.

Blue collar Dems have bailed? Are you kidding?

I heard a call on Hannity’s radio show, on the way home, this afternoon.

He was a truck driver, pulled over on the icy roads of the NE, due to a blowout. While he was waiting for the assistance truck, he called in to Hannity’s show to tout Trump.

He said, “Trump speaks for the regular guy, like me....the hard working guy/gals out here.” Hannity tried to talk about his days as a construction worker, blah, blah...but this guy was impassioned and spoke clearly and enthusiastically about how Trump has inspired him....and many of the unemployed, up in the NE, to be engaged in the election/country, again.

He said, “And, even my mom likes Trump!”

It was a great and heartwarming call. This is the type voter who will push Trump over the top.

Nope. Somehow, I don’t think that “Madame Inevitable” will be the Dem nominee, and I don’t think people are going to get excited enough to vote for the Bern.

If, by some chance, the country DOES end up electing Bernie, I think Vladimir Ilych Lenin will, somewhere in the depths of Hell, have an ever-so-brief moment to smile, since he was the one who predicted so long ago that we’d sell them (the Commies) the rope we’d hang from.

Seriously? There are Democrats who want AMERICA to be Great again which is what attracts us all to Trump’s message.

Your hypothesis lends itself to what we are seeing here with people bailing on Trump over semantics and who is religious enough.

Don’t mistake the Cruz or Nothing bunch for blue collar Democrats energized for Trump.

We ARE IN THE Winning Camp.

Interesting notion, but it's still the Republican primary and his only real competition in Iowa is Cruz. This hurts Cruz and could push Trump over the top, but will it have the long-term effect you mentioned?

Meh. I think this puts Trump over the top in the primaries, and you won’t hear much from Palin in the general election campaign. No effect on the blue collar / Reagan Democrats, they’ll still vote for Trump.
