I think her appearance is a wash in the short term. Time will tell what sort of synergy, if any comes from the relationship.

I think Cruz was in trouble anyway. Too many issues, and the qualification issue is a deal breaker for 25% or so, which fraction can only grow.

Race is still Trump's to lose. He needs to control his outbursts, I think he has a good feedback loop from people around him, I doubt he tolerates yes-men.

It would also be helpful if he didn’t vocally and unequivocally support liberal causes like the EPA and the ethanol mandate.

I think today just won Iowa for Trump. With it, a sweep of the primaries. He’ll still need Ted’s folks to keep the GOPe from pulling first ballot tricks. Trump and Cruz know this. Cruz will stay in long enough to keep the GOPe from consolidating, then Trump will rehabilitate him and get him on the team. Cruz will have a job in Trump’ s admin.

You're right on that. I think her endorsement is a big deal in the short term though. Cruz was on a standing 8 count and she pulled the rug right out from under him. It can only help Trump in Iowa.
