Donald Trump a Typical New York City Liberal Then and Now
Conservative Review ^ | January 18, 2016 | Steve Deace

Posted on 01/19/2016 9:59:05 PM PST by Berean

The conservative apologists for Donald Trump, and sadly there are some, protest that using his 1999 interview with the late Tim Russert, in which Trump vividly and unabashedly lays out his New York City liberalism, isn’t fair game given the time elapsed since then.

Fair enough. Being that it was sixteen years ago...

If you think about it the worst nightmare is staring the GOPe in their collective face.

The three people at the top of the ticket are Trump the super-rich showman that they would not be able to control, Cruz who embodies everything they vehemently despise and Rubio one-time TEA Party favorite.

Their only option is to informally support Hillary.

Trump unscripted on the issues (when he is not talking to a political polling organization) in 2015:

Heaven forbid you should actually read what Trump said as recently as 2015 before pulling the level for him.

Cruzbots want someone who understood single payer universal healthcare was bad for personal liberty back in 1999. And still did in 2015. Not just in the current election cycle.

Here’s what he stands for: he stands for Trump.

And no one cares. after the baby Parts scandal he came out in support of Planned Parenthood and had to walk it back because he’s pretending to be conservative and he discovered conservatives don’t like that.

He talks about single payer.

HE supported abortion and even partial birth abortion and said it was because of his New York values.

He believes in nothing. He stands for nothing except himself. And his supporters don’t care. They don’t even listen to what he says or look at his past.

This is just as stupid as the Obama Baloney.

This country wants an emperor, and Trump fills that role better than anyone else.

That's the latest attack meme from the political class and the MSM. Anyone who supports Trump favors authoritarianism.

Trump is popular because he can connect with the people in the vernacular. He is not politically correct and raises issues the political class and their corporate paymasters don't want raised. Trump represents success and achievement. Trump is competent. Trump is a leader.

America is in decline by almost any metric you want to use. We are on the wrong track. Our political elites have become disconnected from the people. They are bought and paid for by the corporate class and special interests. Both parties have abandoned the American worker. Trump is the vehicle for a peaceful revolution. Failing that, there will be a real revolt by the people.

Rubio is part of the GOPe. His membership in the Gang of 8 leaves no doubt where his loyalties lie. Rubio gave the big middle finger to the Tea Party by not doing what he promised to get elected.

Sarah supports her family, regardless of how much Todd brings to the table!

How was she able to spend millions on her Arizona home, after supporting McCain in AZ and getting her gig in FOX?

What will she get after supporting Trump, even if he loses the general election?

Only time will tell what advantage Sarah gets after supporting Trump.

Cruz is chump change, so no future job there one way or another.

I know that. But he started out as TEA Party, therefore they will hold him suspect no matter how much turn-coating he does.

But you got to admit that the top three are chaffing the GOPe hides.

“The article sources several examples of Donald Trump's positions from his own recent statements”

Tell that to a Trump fan and they call you troll and ignore the facts. This is no different than 0bama with the Democrats in 2008. Every bad fact thrown out against him, they said it was a lie. This was the man to fix this country.

Trump supporters are no different. They are all in even though he is a bonified leftist and there are tons of statements from proving it. He donated to both Hillary's senate campaigns and has called her fine SOS....and that's still not enough top convince them. I am more convinced everyday Trump supporters are nuttier than Ron Paul's supporters.

Just so you know, my vote isn’t going to turn on what Trump said.

People can post what Trump said all day long, and the media can report breathlessly what Trump said all day long, and I’m still going to vote for him.

He’s a leader with innate leadership qualities and skills, and he loves America. America needs a leader with leadership qualities and skills.

He’s hired.

The Donald is for all the things that Sarah Palin spoke of today at her Ames, Iowa speech. If you are having problems understanding what those things are you can go here and watch towards the end of the You Tube video. When you watch that video, also understand that Sarah and Donald are long time friends and have a understanding of the things Sarah spoke about. Here is the link:

My guess is she thinks he has a better chance at attracting some of the disillusioned Democrats, which he might. He’s a deal-maker and he might’ve mentioned a cabinet position, but it’s hard to believe Cruz wouldn’t have given her one.

America needs a leader with leadership qualities and skills.

According to Dear Leader Trump, Kim Jong Un has all those qualities you seek.

I’m not sure why you think I am not familiar with the things Trump says.

I’m not low information. I’ve just made a decision based on other criteria.

Every “conservative” that I have ever voted for, or supported or believed in has done their best to bring about the end of my country.

So, the word “conservative” really doesn’t have much or even any meaning to me any more. It has being corrupted and hollowed out by the GOP.

I’m just not with the GOP anymore. It certainly is not with me. So I am going with the guy who isn’t one of them.

They don’t want him, but they are definitely going to get him, and I hope they choke on him.
