Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump argued that “the problem with Washington, they don’t make deals, it’s all gridlock” and “I’ll get everybody together. We’ll make great deals for the country” on Wednesday’s “Fox & Friends” on the Fox News Channel.

It’s been nothing but Deals since Obama showed up

Since he is President and we do not have VETO override, then if anything is done the President has to sign it. We have stopped a lot of crap from getting signed by the President. A lot. In fact, so much that a lot of the country think Republicans are obstructionists. We should wear that proudly.

Sure, the deal is, in exchange for the presidency, trump gets to loot the government by providing “extra special expedited efficient contracts” to his Mafia buddies, but he makes all the compromise that the GOPE wants, and persuades the former conservatives in his base that compromises on immigration, obamacare funding, and Planned Parenthood funding is a “conservative win.”

“What deals does Trump plan to cut with the opposition?”

You can cut a deal which benefits both parties. Problem today is Obama says something and the GOPe jumps. They don’t even try to negotiate.

Kenny,

Your post #28 and it's common sense POV is what I see missing over and over in those that continue the "us against them" mentality.

Unfortunately they want "all or nothing".. which isn't practical.

There are many occasions when gridlock is a great thing, like when a blank check has been considered for Obama's agenda. So Trump would "deal" with the LIEberals spending spree instead of standing firmly oposed to it. I have yet to see anything representative of a conservative approach from Trump or his cheer squad.

...and you won't. Trump slings red meat to the masses to gnaw on. Conservatism has nothing to do with it.

The video seems to be posted a lot.

Some of Trump's business practices.

Quote: "In that filing, the bank quoted from a best-selling book Mr. Trump wrote last year, "Think Big and Kick Ass in Business and Life." In it, the developer said he loved "to crush the other side and take the benefits" and mocked the banks that had lost money on loans made to him before another real estate downturn, in the 1990s:

"I figured it was the bank's problem, not mine. What the hell did I care? I actually told one bank, 'I told you you shouldn't have loaned me that money. I told you the goddamn deal was no good.' "
(emphasis mine)

That may be considered an acceptable practice in the real estate development world, but it certainly isn't the example of the business genius that Trump claims to be.

You can’t compromise on God given Constitutional rights. The GOPeers that control the House and Senate don’t compromise, they cave. I want someone to stand firm, absolutely on Constitutional rights. I would like to get spending cuts. I want someone to wipe out the czars and illegal EOs. I do not trust Trump to do this.

I have to disagree with Trump on this one.

The problem with Washington is that it exists.

Any deal that Republicans and Democrats make in DC that benefits both of those groups will come at the expense of the taxpayers.

When I hear the word deal, I immediately think I’m going to get screwed somehow. It’s just a hunch.

“he loved “to crush the other side and take the benefits” and mocked the banks that had lost money on loans made to him “

That’s what he’s going to do to the conservatives.

Trump has been buying off policians for favorable policies and has nothing resembling a conservative core. Keep attacking conservatives to prop up your LIEberal. That’s going to change our minds!

Conservative commentators have noted for weeks: the base is much less conservative than we hoped or thought.

It takes a Reagan to teach and remind people of their conservatism.

Trump is no conservative and spells political, economic and electoral disaster for the conservative movement.

Typical CANCERvatism.

For years since Democrats became the party of Marx, we have believed, correctly, thet one does not ‘deal’ with communist liberals. But suddenly ‘deal’ is the buzzword. All these so called ‘conservatives’ want to ‘deal’ with Democrats.

And then we here the asinine ‘purity’ argument. “Oh purity gets us nowhere.” How would any Freeper know that? It’s never been tried. All that HAS been tried is DEALING with Democrats. Democrats do not deal. They dictate. And all these Stockholm Syndrome cases want to identify with their captors by doing more of it... because the right people have not been in charge.

Which is exactly what liberals say of Socialism. Can’t have it both ways folks.
