Government works best when it is paralyzed.

No, Mr. Trump.

Gridlock is good.

It means fewer laws restricting our freedoms, fewer taxes stealing our hard earned money, fewer government workers spying on our legitimate and legal activities, fewer...

Liberals. Whether they admit it or not.

“Trump wrote the Art of the Deal. I wouldn’t have to go negotiate with him.”

What do you figure Trump will be able to get in return for negotiating away the Second Amendment?

It's not that Washington hasn't been making deals, they have. The Democrats have been the winners though in every one of those deals. Trump wants to flip that.
That's exactly right but we'll never convince the anti-Trump knuckle draggers of that because they're conditioned to losing every "deal" because of incompetent leaders.

It's easier to just give in and then take to the Senate floor and complain that the reason you voted the way you did is because you were lied to.

“What deals does Trump plan to cut with the opposition?”

The same ones Boner & McTurtle make

I’d much rather have gridlock than one of the two alternatives. With control of the House, Senate and Presidency you wouldn’t think I’d have much to worry about but I don’t believe the “deal Maker” is going to deliver what his minions are promising. I don’t trust Trump, I trust Cruz. I’ve seen all the evidence that’s been presented showing the “nasty despicable” Ted Cruz to be unworthy. I’ve also been exposed to “The Donald” for years and have heard and read from him what he’s for, who he’s for, what he’s against, who he’s against, what candidate he supports and gives money to, not to mention his personality and penchant for personal attacks and for pandering. When weighing all this I cannot believe, trust or take “The Donald” seriously, he has no credibility. Senator Cruz has been consistently Conservative and I trust and support Senator Cruz.

Trump is turning into the scariest nominee I have ever heard/seen. While I will probably never vote for a demo I’m beginning to think I will sit out if he is the repubo nominee. He is beginning to make less and less sense. :<(((((((

Which freedoms are you willing to deal away to Dems? Which constitutional rights? Because a deal involves giving up something you already have.

So was Ben Franklin dumber than Trump supporters? Was he wrong that those willing to give up freedom and liberty deserve neither?

Gee, I can't wait for the touchback amnesty deal.

Will it be 10 million or will it be 20 million?

Deals require compromise. Hasn’t the whole message of the Conservative movement for the last 16 years been not to compromise on anything ever? What deals does Trump plan to cut with the opposition?

And you get a better deal when you negotiate from a position of strength. Right now the GOP does NOT negotiate. They give away the farm . That will change with Trump. He wants to run.

BS. McConnell has been making deals with Reid for years.

I prefer gridlock. The fact is Republicans have been making deals by caving into the Democrats. That’s why we’re trillions of dollars in debt, and cronies and politicians are richer than ever.

I think it’s more like the Kardashians. These people want to live vicariously so they adopt the look, language and mannerisms of those they fawn over. They are the same ones that lied to themselves about Romney and convinced themselves he meant the lies he spoke and ensured every candidate with actual conservatism anywhere to be found in their record, was benched. And the lies he abandoned less than 24 hours after the great fail.

They are sheep wanting to be led. They refuse to think about the consequence of their actions beyond immediate validation of their desires. Like Fox Mulder, they want to believe and no facts will ever sway them. They would fit in well in Guyana.

Just as a point of information, because I’m sure you meant “appropriations” when you said “budget” (the two are erroneously used interchangeably), the Budget is passed as a resolution, not as a law. Therefore the President has no veto power.

Again, I know what you meant, but want to make sure lurking FReepers understand as well.
