Question: a friend just said that Trump paid $50.00 for those attending his rally in Oklahoma. Please disprove...
uh, you made the statement you prove it. Then I'll provide evidence to the contrary.
The $50 rumor is a bunch of crap that was proven wrong. It was a BS tweet from a troll..
Well my SIL and her husband attended.
I’ll ask them if they got 100 bucks out of the deal.
Well, I really appreciate all the help FR has given me over this accusation this friend made to me about Trump. He hates Trump and is going to vote for Bush. I was asking for someone to say something I could use, but I guess that’s not going to happen...I’ve always held FR in high regards, but there sure are a lot of BS type of people posting. By the way, I am a 5th generation Texan and proud of it.
I guess I have spent too much time on FR and I need to get my news elsewhere. And to think, I am a monthly contributor too. Y’all made me somewhat mad!
Why would I disprove? I get those checks all the time. I don't even show up to the rallies but the checks keep coming nonetheless. Just email Trump directly to get on his list. Tell him I sent you.
The full court press by the Cruz crew is on as he starts to sink in the polls. Cruz is desperate. He is calling in all his chips including those phony conservatives from National Review. These attacks will help Trump grow stronger.
My wife and I attended, man I sure hope that check arrives soon, we could sure use it right about now. What a joke.
You can’t prove a negative
The Atlantic reported in July, 2015 that Trump had hired actors for $50 apiece to cheer his presidential campaign announcement:

The Atlantic referred to this article (which is the one I think you're looking for):

It was apparently roughly 3 hours of work for $50.
I can find nothing on Oklahoma, so I'm guessing this is what your friend got through the long and winding grapevine.
Not sure how you'd persuade him about the "paying to attend a rally in Oklahoma", other than by noting it would be all over the Internet.
I have a small bit of skill in finding such things on the Internet. :)
