Hotel rooms would not have been easy to find and I can't feature myself spending an overnight in a train station.

Looking at the radar, I think we're past the worst of this storm. Also, it looks as though the most intense part of the storm is tracking about 100 miles east of us - right up the coast. Look for substantial beach erosion from the Carolinas to Jersey.

We have about a foot right now - John Man is out shoveling - there's enough down that we thought it would be a good idea to take care of what we have tonight rather than having to dig ourselves out of the whole nine yards tomorrow.
