Well, I think that Trump right now has the best chance of being the Republican nominee, but he’s no conservative...& that was my only point.

Your point is well taken, but candidates need to win nomination FIRST. 40% in a field of dozen candidates is fantastic. Observing how fast Trump shut down Hillary’s war on women meme, I am not worried about Trump versus Hillary in general.
He is, unfortunately, it's downward.
If Trump is half as smart as you must think he is, or a quarter of his own estimation, then he will anticipate and shift his tone to reasoned statesman before his open sewer sound bites and taunting routine stop working. His comment today about shooting somebody in downtown Manhattan and not losing a single vote might be the peak and it says even he’s amazed at how well the act has worked so far. Trump more than anyone must know there comes a time in every deal when you have to shift from the sell to the close. We’ll see in the coming weeks just how good his timing and instincts are.
That’s what I’m waiting to see....there’s a long way to go in this thing, and I don’t feel the need to choose between one candidate or the other at this point. For me Cruz and Trump are still in the running, all others can bugger off.
I watched it. But I live in commiefornica and my vote doesn’t count. 1st choice is Trump only because I love the disruption he is causing. 2nd choice is Cruz, but he has some issues to. Other than that there are no perfect conservatives running. We’re all screwed no matter what.
Like I have said a thousand times before, stuff a sock in it!! You nor anyone else will change our minds, WE all are educated voters, you have your guy we don’t agree with you!!! ENOUGH ALREADY! I personally would love to see a Trump/ Cruz ticket Cruz supporters are making this damn near impossible!!! LET IT REST!!!!
Cruz is rock solid and consistent. Trump blows with the wind. The Trump record is pro-abortion, pro homosexual marriage, homosexuals in the military, praises Hillary, DeBlasio, Pelosi, Taxes on the rich.
Why would any conservative support Trump?
