They were salting like mad here, before yesterday.
Up on the mountain is the best place to drive.
A salt truck had a spinner malfunction and dumped what looks like a half ton in one 30 foot long line.
Pity it was halfway over the shoulder.
I miss the old days of studded tires and gravel put on the road.

Worcester Mass: got nothing here at 6:30 am. Expecting 2-4 inches, but who knows. Of course, the locals around here only care about the weather in Denver this Sunday.
A dusting of snow here in downtown Atlanta.
Snow started at 4pm yesterday and is forecast to end around 6Am tomorrow. We have 9” on the ground in central MD and the wind is blowing. The forecast is another 18” on the way.
On the bright side, I found a teenager that wants to shovel.

I’m watching some of the local news, and those idiots are out there measuring the snow with yardsticks.
With so much drifting, how in the world can that be meaningful?
You know they’re picking deep spots just for effect.
Like I said, it was rather uncharacteristic for our roadcrews to actually be out salting beforehand.
It was... Let’s just say I may need a cardiac test soon.
Considering none of the vehicles were prepped, they must have crash started it.
Too many people with four wheel drive here that believe the commercials, they go blasting around at too high a speed in absolutely the wrong gear and then can’t figure out why they are upside down or in the median.

Had a BMW driver upset with me once because I was getting through the snow in my veedub jetta better than his beemer was.
So he repeatedly tried to ram me.
Not my fault he doesn’t know how to handle his vehicle.
*sheesh*
I've seen people show up with buckets and shovels when that happens!

7 a.m.
just went out to check on the lawn and see if any leaves need raking. My feet got cold, so I came back in to put some shoes on.
They say it is going to snow today!
Peeples are gonna hafta start going north for the winter.
although I hear it is going to be cloudy in New Hampshire today.

It’s snowing. The there is some wind. I have an excuse now not to go to work (if being summoned to grand jury duty for the month hadn’t been enough of one).
Not bad in my part of North Ga. A dusting of snow. No ice. Road are good, but side roads are ripe for fishtailing right now.
Fortunately, we had a long break between the rain and the temp drop.
