SHOCK: Trump’s official voting record released by NYC, shows he has been Repub since 1980

Donald Trump’s official voting record has been released, showing that he was a registered Republican since at least 1980, throwing water on the theory that he was at one time a Democrat.

This is causing major panic in the Cruz campaign that insisted that Trump recently switched his affiliation.

Voting records for Trump’s adult sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, were not immediately available.

Trump is leading by wide margins in New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida, and nearly every other state where pollsters take the Republican electorate’s temperature.

In Iowa, he is running neck-and-neck with Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in some polls, and leading him comfortably in others.

On Thursday in Las Vegas, Trump boasted of a new Emerson College poll that shows him leading Cruz there by 10 points.

‘Cruz is going down,’ he told a packed ballroom at the South Point casino. ‘He’s like a nervous wreck. He’s going down. He’s had his moment.’

Wow! Big bold letters. Then we see your screen name and:

That's about as nonsensical as a supposed conservative defending and supporting a clown like Trump for president.

Cruz comes close, but no, no one else says all of what donald says, and i do love it when he says those things.

but how the hell can you change so much in what seems like overnight?

it would be like you posting liberal posts starting tomorrow and saying forget yesterday.

but there was no point in getting into fights with ultra left business partners before this, i guess. that’s the only thing that makes sense to me.

you should be his campaign manager :)

that was really well written.

ah, the point is moot anyway. what am i going to do, vote for hillary? bernie? :)

i dont consider cruz or trump the lesser of two evils, like i considered romney and mccain.

that’s something, i guess.

Gullibility is a common and necessary trait among the Trump faithful.

If Trump hasn't switched parties as we know he has, why did his lawyer acknowledge that he did?

Donald Trump, who recently pulled out of moderating a Newsmax-sponsored GOP debate that only Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum would commit to, has switched his voter registration to "independent" as he mulls a third-party presidential run in 2012, a source confirms. Read more: http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2011/12/trump-changes-registration-to-independent-108587#ixzz3y3eUpNhv

Trump special counsel Michael Cohen said the developer and reality TV star made the move "in order to preserve his right to run as an independent if he is (not pleased) with the GOP nominee."

What’s the point about his adult sons? Or adult sons but not adult daughters?

He’s not really so conservative on immigration in that he advocates touchback amnesty.

Trump is like the powerful and dangerous, foul tasting elixir that has a chance of healing what ails us.

Or finishing us off.

disappointed when Ted said bill’s past didn’t matter.

of course it does. his wife covered for a rapist. and she’s running for pres.

even paul said mattered. i’ll give the little nut that much. he said it way back in 2014.

The participation rate in NY, for primary elections, is just barely under 2%.

It makes sense that the only time party affiliation could be stated or inferred from election records is at the primary. In the general, all the parties are on the ballot, and a person is not expected to tell the election official which party they will be voting for in the general.

On his primary voting record, the article you cited says this:

But his primary voting record is thin: just a New York City mayoral primary in September 2013 and a primary election for a U.S. Senate special election in September 2010.

There is no indication that he has voted in a presidential primary of any kind since 1989, a time-frame during which he has said he was a Democrat.

What is your source for the claim that "there is no record that Trump ever voted in a Republican primary election in New York City"?

I don’t know what to say.

For me Cruz’s biggest weakness is/was the immigration issue. I believe he likely learned his lesson on that front. It was only 2012 when Trump was bashing Romney for being mean-spirited on forcing illegals out. So Trump isn’t exactly pure on this front either.

i’m confused as heck.

dont understand fully the tpp vote or iran vote, even after investigating. being from ny, my mind and my emotions respond differently to his comment. some said he missed a few important votes and he has called for legal status for some.

trump, on the other hand, has NO voting record in office, has said SO MANY things contrary to his beliefs now, sent a picture of jeb bus picking his nose in response to an absurd one one one debate request by jeb.

that didn’t mean he had to respond like a ten year old

i fear he is a textbook narcissist and crazy.

my mother says we need cray right now :)

maybe i’ll go to sleep till the generals.

The Daily Mail article contains a photo of the actual document...apparently you are either not particularly detail oriented or have an agenda.

What the “R” stands for is irrelevant; SINCE IT SAYS “ENROLLMENT: REPUBLICAN” IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER.

Now, quit lying.

great little read. thanks.

i dont know if Reagan would have wanted it to go as far as it has though, i dont know.

he forgot that he would leave office one day and a dem would pummel businesses here with taxes.

even if the NYC comment is true, and it’s not, regarding Staten Island at least, isn’t it a divisive statement to make about two states?

i dont know.

Vote for who you THINK will do the best job based on the available evidence. Who will stay the course when things get tough - and they will get tough.

I believe the only road map back to long lasting economic recovery and liberty is the constitution. Basically shrinking government and forcing it back into the restraints it sets out. For me there’s only one guy running who talks about the constitution with belief in its ideals.

So am I to believe that Trump was still a Republican when he ran as the Reform party candidate in 2000???

THAT would be Cruz.

it kind of stings knowing that he would have likely been the next pres of the US if trump didn’t enter.

cruz beats hillary head on, trump doesn’t. i dont know how the lie got started about those two factual polls.

it’s too big of a lead and not enough time left and trump’ supporters are fanatics. i think they would volunteer to be bodyguards if he asked.

he’s become larger than life.
