40% is not a winning number in this kind of poll.
And the election isn’t being held today.

Trump will go another 5% because of Cruz being supported by Glen Beck. Cruz will lose 5 % on this.

Add in black racists, sociopaths and government “rent-seekers” and we’re close to a permanent majority being Hillary & ‘RAT supporters.
With Trump, the old name recognition gauge does not really apply. With Trump it is policy recognition that goes with the name. People have been waiting to see where he stood on their key issues. Every time he comes out strong on an issue, his polling tends to jump up.
What is going on now is the old democrat tactic of trying to drive a wedge between Trump and the conservative base. I have to laugh when a democrat is complaining that Trump is not a real conservative. They tried to drive a wedge between Trump and women, but failed massively.

I haven’t heard a peep from Hillary or Bill about “the war on women” since Trump lowered the boom on them.
