HC: We need more parents to both get married and stay married in order to support children. There will always be exceptions.
BW: If you had a teenage daughter who became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion, not have the baby, would you support it?
HC: Uh oh gosh, I can't even imagine that decision. I'd I'd I would do whatever I could to support her um and it would be a terrible decision, and we can avoid that being a choice if children are given good, responsible information and an ability to say "NO" um at an earlier age.
BW: Do you feel that a parent should be notified if an under-aged daughter wants to have an abortion?
HC: I believe in parental notification. I think there are exceptions, there are situations in which the family is so dysfunctional that parental notification is not appropriate, but in general I do believe, I think that families should be part of helping their children through this.
