I also wear a memorial bracelet to remind the curious to never forget about 9-11. I attended the one year anniversary memorial event, honoring the victims of the hijacked/crashed jet- Flight 93, that telescope collapsed/plowed nose, first into a reclaimed strip mine/field near Shanksville, PA. The passengers were some of the first citizen soldiers that day, in thwarting the terrorist's diabolical plans by rushing the cabin. The immortal words of Todd Beamer are etched onto the bracelet. Let's Roll.

The first responders- Shanksville firefighters, were selling the bracelets as a fundraiser for their small department. Shanksville, has a population of approximately 300 people.

My bf had cancer and we were suppose to go to Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital on Sept 11, they called, and we made an apt for Sept 28...WOW I was not ready for that, and did I get my eyes opened...went back a lot for treatments, and each time we would go to ‘ground zero’ just to see...

And you know what I am talking about when I say it’s a ‘sacred place’...only those that have been there know what it is like....

Before I left PA, I made a trip into New York and walked around, but it is the same ‘sacred place’ and we know what it means...
