The article doesn't mention it, but I'm guessing this has Bernie Sanders all upset.

I wouldn’t expect this. He has had so much in common with the communist thugs.

Keep in mind that some of the biggest anti-Communists in the US and Italy were the Mafia, and Putin has pretty much been running his country like a Mafia Don.

From the article:

Putin said he sincerely believed in Communist ideology when he served in the KGB, adding that while promises of a fair and just society in the Communist ideology resembled the Bible quite a lot but the reality was different. Our country did not look like the City of the Sun, envisaged by socialist utopians, he said.

That is quite telling.

The whole communist world is trying to bend to a softer gentler Bernie Sanders look.

Its a sign of power in top-down societies - he’s able to publicly give his OWN version of history. I saw the same thing in China.

If you don’t have the authority to challenge accepted history, then you are a follower. We have the same thing here in the USA - its called “political correctness.”

If you can challenge it and set your own mark upon it - you are a leader.

Putin was a student of Yuri Andropov’s.

Andropov knew the Soviet System was doomed, and was trying to reform it from within. Putin’s support of Yeltsin during the coup says a lot, as well.

I wonder if he's just gonna let the Russian people decide when to rewrite their history?

But probably not, because he has banned the Confederate Battle Flag, the song "Dixie", and melted the statues of Confederate military heroes for the bronze.

Putin would have served the Czar if he was still in power.

And he admires Stalin as a “Russian Nationalist” (despite the fact that Stalin was Georgian), and not as a Communist.

* The article doesn't mention it, but I'm guessing this has Bernie Sanders all upset. *

Bernie is real irritated that Putin has dissed his hero Vlad.

Bernie : No. No! NO! Stop it! Stop it, please! I beg you! This is sin! This is sin! This is sin! It's a sin, it's a sin, it's a sin!

Dr. Brodsky: Sin? What's all this about sin?

Bernie: That! Using Lenin like that! He did no harm to anyone. Lenin just enslaved millions with Socialism/Communism!
