Michael van der Galien Pontificating!
There aren't enough evangelicals to make Ted the nominee, let alone president and nolt ALL of them are going to vote for Cruz! Your supposition is therefore utterly wrong on many different levels.
I am an ordained retired Evangelical-Spirit filled pastor with over 42 years ministry experience and I am voting for Trump because I believe he is God’s man for this four year term. I am sorry Gary Baur is more important than me but my vote counts same as his does. so DEAL WITH IT!

Sometimes this race seems like people do not give one whit about winning the general election. Only about having their own choice as the nominee.
I could swear we are electing a President, not a Pastor? Silly me.
Oh, and earlier today I was reading somebody supporting Cruz saying he was the Ezra of our times. Great I am thinking Ezra was a priest but he did what he did because contemporary Nehemiah built the WALL! DEAL WITH IT

Ted Cruz, Glenn Beck, and Cult-Like Religion
It's cute watching these people-- who are more than likely no different than atheists in their daily lives-- pontificating about who the Bible says to vote for, meanwhile Teddy is involved with Dominionist heresy and stands around with a Mormon heretic in a Christian Church talking religion.
I wonder if these idiots even understand what the Apostles or Jesus Christ would have called Glenn Beck?
The don’t.
Example #1&2: BHO
What a disgusting title. Utterly foul.
Are we electing a pope or a president?
This is not an argument that should be used. Everyone must respect each person’s right to follow his own conscience on voting. Make points. But don’t try to say Christians must vote one way or another. Christians must love their neighbor; love and obey the law of God; increase in the knowledge of God and His Word, pray, etc. I do believe they have a duty to vote. But who they vote for is not prescribed in Scripture and while we each may have our opinions, it is wrong to try and guilt trip a voter. Make your case, step back and respect the individuals right of conscience. We already have too many would be kingmakers.
I do think character matters. I do think Scripture provides help in choosing the candidate. I do think Christians can endorse candidates as individuals and make a case based on Scriptural principles. I do not think that a general “Christians who are good Christians must vote for candidate so and so” is the right case to make. Point out issues and how they line up to Scriptures. Step back and let the individual conscience do its work. Or not. Embracing the idea of republicanism and the freedom of each voter to choose is also a noble value we must not let disappear.
I’m not sure who the heck you think you are dictating who I should vote for based on your knowledge of anyone’s faith other than your own.
But then again, your entire group lives in some bubble of holier than thou piousness that somehow makes you feel entitled to judge others.
Anytime someone tells me what s good Christian they are, I cringe. If you have to tell me you are, I know better.
What a horrible title. Makes one want to skip the article.
So I did skip the article.
And I like Cruz just fine.
See tagline...
If Cruz makes it it will be the most destructive thing that could happen to America. He will lose to Hillary.
Why post this if you’re just going to go hide now?
I’m for Cruz but, I’m not going to defend the presumptuous turd you just laid here. You don’t help the cause at all in this way.
well I don’t know what an evangelical is and I don’t know what their religion might be but Glenn Beck is a Mormon so maybe its like Mormonism..
But I’m a Christian and I don’t do what the Mormon religion tells Beck to believe and do...
I watched the Glenn Beck for President and Ted Cruz for his Little Mongrel Dog Rally yesterday...
No thank you...
So essentially, if you’re a REAL Christian, you’ll vote for the candidate I tell you to vote for.
No thanks, Michael.
Taking one’s religion seriously does not imply or necessitate supporting a candidate who practices that religion.
I speak as one who belongs to the religion supposedly practiced by Mario Cuomo, William Brennan, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, etc.
I’m Christian, but I am voting for Cruz because of his conservatism.
It is obvious that Trump is not serious about Christianity, but I’ve met many a scumbag who was a dedicated Christians and many a heathen who were honorable men. Not a terrible amount of overlap in that, sadly.
