Harvard Universityâs undergraduate dean is angering alumni by attempting to force the schoolâs all-male final clubs to accept women, a move that some say threatens freedom of association and diversity at one of the nationâs most elite colleges.
According to Harvard alumni and former members of all-male final clubs, Harvard College dean Rakesh Khurana, appointed to his post in 2014, is prepared to make it against university rules to join the groups.

What happened to freedom of association
I thought that said Howard Dean.
That’s his brother ...
I read it the same way. They should just say it’s a shirtless club and all are invited to join...
The 1960s civil rights movement destroyed it in practice.

What about all female clubs?
‘Harvard College dean Rakesh Khurana”
Isn’t diversity great! This little “Mahout” should be back in India giving elephant rides to foreign tourists.
do not most universities have separate “ethnic” or “skin color” based student governments?
The only way to fix this is to make student loans dischargable in bankruptcy.
I thought that said Howard Dean.
Did you want wisdom instead of flip puerile cleverness? Well fix your curriculum and grading criteria so you don't give summas to such facile idiots.
YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!
OK, I know a straight line when I see one...
Howard Dean?
Dean Wormer?
I’ll take my chances with Dean Wormer...
Perhaps he should eliminate the Dean’s List for good grades. Everyone should be allowed on it. Diversity of grades!
My Dad managed many Harvard and MIT grads during his career. While he had enormous respect for the MIT grads the same wasn’t always true of the Harvard alums. He’d joke “you can always tell a Harvard man,but you can’t tell him much”.
Harvard is turning into a sad and silly place. Harvard is also changing admissions rules to focus on social justice over achievement. Why would anyone want to go there?
