(David) Limbaugh: Cruz Has Been Right All Along
Townhall ^ | January 25, 2016 | David Limbaugh

Posted on 01/25/2016 6:19:55 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

I believe Donald Trump's meteoric and sustained rise is a direct result of Obama's largely successful campaign to fundamentally transform America and the establishment Republicans' unwillingness to fight back.

Grassroots conservatives have wanted someone to stand up to Obama and stand up for our nation -- and they are sick and tired of Beltway politicians and pundits alike patronizingly assuring them that nothing extraordinary is occurring and to calm down. "We'll take care of it after we're re-elected." Sure.

Yes, some of these establishment, moderate or, if you prefer, unexcitable types have finally come around, belatedly acknowledging Obama's intentions but failing to admit they were slow on the uptake, much less that they're sorry for branding the rest of us who caught on years before they did as mean-spirited, extremist or kooky.

It's important to review this history, not for "I told you so" purposes, but because it's relevant to our current hotly contested GOP campaign and how we choose to go forward. It's crucial in assessing and judging Ted Cruz's actions in valiantly trying to stand up for the people against Obama's tyranny....

RUSH Limbaugh says the same thing:

“If the Republican Party had actually been opposed to Obama and acted like it, the vacuum would not have existed making it much more difficult for Trump.”

Congratulations! 29 comments in, and you’re the first to address actual content from the article! =)

Whether it’s Rush or David, what was said is correct. Remember back when Cruz first implored his fellow Senators to not be “squishes”? I nearly cried, because it was the first time somebody actually came out and said what needed to be said.

Cruz was the prerequisite for Trump. And now Trump has paid back the favor, because Trump has helped to make laughingstocks out of the media, which also benefits Cruz.

These guys are playing leapfrog, with each one launching off of the other’s progress. There is no reason for these 2 camps to be fighting each other. They should be working together. WE should be working together. Sure, we can argue about which guy should be on the top of the ticket, but both these guys are performing a necessary service, and the truth (as I believe it to be) is that if we don’t stick together to force the repair of the hole in our southern radar defense, it’s not going to matter who is elected, because Iran is going to hit us with an EMP while Obama is chumming around in the southern hemisphere in November and December - with the ensuing chaos, death, and follow-up attacks by sleeper cells all over the country effectively giving Obama what he said he would have way back in July of 2008: “the next 8-10 years” as POTUS. Everything he’s done has strenthened our communist and Islamist enemies and weakened and made us more vulnerable.

Get Cruz’s eligibility decided by the courts so the dems can’t sabotage the R ticket (and in doing so, expose the 2008 coup), make it clear it’s gonna be a Trump/Cruz ticket, or a Cruz/Trump ticket - whichever - and then work together to stop Obama’s imminent final destruction of the USA before it is too late. America’s continued existence is in jeopardy and I don’t think we can wait until after Jan 20, 2017 to defend her from a real and imminent threat.

We sure could have used the support of David’s bother, but Rush helped to bring on the rise of this emotionally retarded Progressive freak Trump, through his many supportive comments. Rush has made Cruz’ job that much more difficult.

How is there any dishonest intent in the posting? It says David Limbaugh right on the byline.

I guess for people who were never taught what a byline is that might not be noticeable.

Nice job on the title, failing to disclose it is Rush’s less famous, less-talented (still on loan from God, but doubtless at a lower interest rate!) brother.

When I saw Town Hall only David Limbaugh came to mind.

I always thought David to be eminently readable. I don't know whether he is as talented as Rush or not. Rush may be the most talented radio personality who ever lived. I don't know that David ever tried to compete with that. It would be a daunting task.

It’s your guy, Trump, who advocates touch-back amnesty. It’s your guy, the 70-year old adolescent Trump, who attacked Romney from the Left on immigration. Which makes sense, because he’s a progressive Democrat.

It’s Cruz that lets them stay, which us outright amnesty.

Trump has them get in line behind those already there, and they’ll have to meet the same requirements.

And lastly, insults don’t make you or your candidate look mire intelligent - just the opposite.

I wonder if you understand irony. bYou can read your post for an example.

I'll bet he's sold a lot more books than Rush has.

A bet you would lose.

The Jonestown Kool-aid line was coined even as news of the tragedy unfolded.

Those were politically incorrect times.
People didn’t wait for months before mocking stupidity on the level of following Jim Jones.

The term was in common use when I was growing up.
