Pro-conservative does not mean pro-American. Most of these so called conservatives are Globalists first. They always want to ignore that little fact.
“Cheap-labor-express globalist neocons”
I agree each of these three groups exist.
However, they are not the same.
They intersect some, but they do not fully agree with one another.
For example, Neocons are / were pro-interventionist. Fine. That has nothing to do with border security and trade.
Free Traders are not necessarily in favor of Open Borders. It is perfectly reasonable to want a low- or no-tax regimen for trade, and simultaneously want very tight immigration policy.
I used to be a Neocon. Iraq chastened me. There are still neocons, among whom I no longer count myself.
I still am a Free Trader. I don’t think anyone should decide or tax whoever I choose to do business with.
I am a hard core immigration restrictionist. We have laws. They must be obeyed. I’ve never varied on that.
Still, I quite agree that when you combine all three of the groups you pointed to today, you get poisonous sorts like the Wall Street Journal.
Let’s just not perfectly conflate the three concepts. Each stands alone as an idea worthy of argument.
