I've read Cruz's plan. It's even weaker than touchback amnesty, and you're between assuming the worst and outright lying about Trump's intentions anyways.
No. you're between naive and outright lying about Trump. He wants to expedite them back in. Trump doesn't even correct people when they say that Trump wants a touchback amnesty.
Cruz mentions deportation over-and-over again in his plan. Trump only mentions it two or three times.
In his plan Cruz says that he wants to fully enforce the immigration laws thru deportations and removals. And then he goes into detail about how he would facilitate that.
You have no idea where the two candidates stand on illegal immigration. And apparently you aren't able to argue the specifics.
More like I’m simply applying the same standards to your favored candidate as you’re applying to mine. That was what this entire flame war was about. Me applying the same standards to Cruz that you’re applying to Trump. And you HATED it.
I know that Trump is no immaculate saint. It would give you much more respect if you were to admit that Cruz isn’t either.
The fact of the matter is that Cruz has been weak in words and deeds on immigration in the past, and treating him as some kind of conservative messiah only hurts him all the more when the news comes out about his past support of globalist garbage, his past votes, and his current language.
He is still better than Hillary or Bernie. Still better than Bush or Rubio. But the more you treat him as perfect instead of acknowledging his flaws and argue that he’s still the best candidate in spite of them, the less people will listen to you, and the weaker he’ll get.
Which has sort of been proven with his collapsing support lately...
