One can't help but notice that there is a strong contingent of what can only be described as people who hate the idea of Donald Trump being President. It's descended into outright personal hatred by some.
But wow...ever since he announced that he wouldn't be doing the debate it's gone up to a whole new level.
My question is...why?? The main insult of detractors now seems to be "Oooh...Trump can't handle questions from a girl how's he going to handle (FILL IN THE BLANK DESPOT)?" Or Trump is afraid of Cruz. Or Trump is afraid to debate.
Now if these things are so easy to discern then shouldn't these folks be outrageously happy? If this is going to hurt Trump so much and make him look so bad shouldn't they be encouraging him to stay out of the debate instead of trying to goad him into it?
Is there any way that any people who don't support Trump can admit that this is a brilliant political move? His one announcement has given him at least 48 hours of wall to wall Trump coverage. He's backed FOX into a corner and made advertisers angry at FOX. He was sure to be the main target of all the candidates AND at least one moderator...but now all the other candidates are going to be gunning for Ted Cruz instead. So he's letting the other candidates try to take out Cruz and he doesn't have to lift a finger.
Now don't get me wrong I love Cruz and IF he could get elected I would love a President Cruz. Cruz is a fighter BUT he's not a leader. And that's the big difference. Trump is a fighter AND a leader.
So if skipping this debate is bad for Trump then why the hyper vitriol?

IK want Cruz, but I am not angry, though I don’t hate Trump either or have derangement syndrome like a couple on here who feel to post all the time thinking it will change anyone’s mind.
Will it give Cankles (sp?) precedent to skip debates in the general?

Ask Trump. He’s the one who said last election that Megyn Kelly was a “great” moderator and that Romney skipping a debate was a sign of cowardice and weakness.

I am pleased. I don’t have to listen to him lie and obfuscate, won’t have to use mute when he speaks.
Also just heart Cruz super pac will donate $1 million plus dollars to veteran’s charity if DT debates Cruz one on one before Monday.
Actually it is not that I hate Trump. I see no reason for your blind trust. That is what liberals do - the blind trust thing. I believe you are being played like a fiddle and will either be in shock if he is elected or will find you really do like all those liberal policies he will continue.
Trump isn’t one of us but he’s picked off more than a few. 1) Arpaio, 2) Sarah, 3)Jeff Lord...etc.. We are making a deal with the devil.
They lost their last chance to derail Trump before the electoral landslide starts.
They are angry because if Trump hadn’t run, chances are Ted would be in the lead.
They are angry because they are losing and Ted addmitted if Trump wins Iowa and New Hampshire, its over for him.
They are angry because Ted has promise. But, the time may not be right for him now.
Well someone always does..especially incumbents. The only ones that ever really want debates are those that need the exposure because they're down in the polls.

This has nothing to do with how Trump will deal with other world leaders. It has everything to do with how he’ll deal with the press! Trump is laying the groundwork for later.
How many times did we all want to shoot our televisions while watching George W Bush suck up to the White House press corps during press conferences? He would diligently answer their gotcha questions without a thought about the trap he was stepping into. And then the twisted headlines the next day would all be about how stupid his answer was!
Now I ask you, what do you think a press conference with President Trump would be like? With this history of his triumph over Fox under his belt, me thinks it will be a bit different.
And I sure as hell am looking forward to it!
