I saw the dumbest thing today on Facebook. A friend of a friend who commented that she’s for socialism. It could work, it just never has worked before because it’s only been tried by fascists. Same a communism. I was astounded. i did not comment since I didn’t know the person and did not know the person in common all that well.

Communism is based on hatred; even Lenin explicitly said so. To even think of being a communist is pure madness.
Sanders could win. Especially if the GOP nominates another loser type candidate -— need we say more? Sanders is more honest than O ( which obviously ain’t saying much) and Bernie doesn’t hate America like O. But I believe Sanders’ political views are almost exactly wrong for USA — and especially now that O has driven America, our economy, our defenses, and our alliances down so far —we very much need someone who can help us recover-—but yes, old Bernie ( unlike Hillary the Liar) could win quite easily against the wrong R’s. all this is meant to say: we discount old Bernie the Red at our own peril!! At least that’s what I’ve tried to say several times — nobody likes hearing it and do I get flamed. But it’s gotta be said. It’s quite possible the D party bosses will realize almost nobody wants Hillary shoved down their throats again. The D party might just wake up and retire her. Then, watch out folks — Bernie can campaign pretty well and he doesn’t come with Hilary’s bad bsggsge

I saw socialism in Australia for 5 weeks, good if you are a child or a senior citizen.
Otherwise i felt restricted, censored and cheated of things i take for granted in America.
Every form of socialism comes down to the same thing. It’s based entirely on destroying liberty in order to enrich the government at the expense of everyone else and using violence to keep the elite in power. Gulags, purges, secret police and locking people up in looney bins for having “incorrect” views - it’s all part of the program. Christianity is always looked at as the enemy. It’s impossible to be a Christian and a socialist.
Every socialist dreams of being a figure like Stalin, or offering their loyalty to one. They hate and fear freedom. They love totalitarianism. Look hard at North Korea. That’s the end goal of the socialist project.
Socialism has life in much the same way that the Borg has life.
The irony is that most of the economic hardships old Bernie’s complaining about were caused or enabled or are bring prolonged by the very same communistic policies he’s advocating more of.
