Last week, the conservative magazine National Review published a long and scathing attack on Donald J. Trump. Notable names included Glenn Beck, Erick Erickson, Michael Medved, and Thomas Sowell. Absent was the radio champion of conservatism, Rush Limbaugh.
Limbaugh said National Reviewâs attack came âtoo late now,â and would not convince Trumpâs supporters. This may be true, but it could also be Limbaughâs way of explaining why he wonât attack Trump himself. Could Limbaugh be âcheating on conservatismâ with The Donald? Does he identify with Trump, or does Limbaughâs hatred of the âestablishmentâ run so deep that he is willing to tacitly support a questionably conservative candidate just to revel in the establishmentâs defeat?
Limbaugh did not respond to PJ Mediaâs request for comment, but he may have hinted recently at the reason why he refrains from attacking The Donald -- as questionably conservative as Trump is, he is still better than Hillary Clinton. But is this understanding correct, or just another dodge?

Who knows if Limbaugh is actually conservative, or if it’s all an act.
They obviously do not listen to Rush.
He has fully explained this N times, where I is a large number.
I personally rather Cruz, but will gladly vote for Trump vs the ignorant sl*t or the commie.
Only liberal interventionists are “conservative” enough for the neocon crowd.
No. Seal the borders, toss out the illegals, keep jobs here.
If that ain’t Conservative they can kiss my A$$.
I trust Rush....nuff said.
Rush is a brilliant man. Trump is a brilliant man. Of course they will support each other. Cruz is a (lord who knows what he is). Rush has never lied in his life. Cruz every other word out of his mouth is a lie. Rush doesn’t support fools.
HE DIDN’T COME TO *MY* CONCLUSION! HE *BETRAYED* CONSERVATISM!!
Be ready for 1000 articles like this in the coming weeks.
she is also 91. As I recall.
I like her, but 91 is well 91.
The self appointed politburo of conservative correctness has been a total failure for decades. They’ve been preaching open borders, and supporting people like Mitt, Jeb and Rubio. They need to shut up or get on board.
Just when you think he’s going all-out for Trump, he’ll sing the praises of Cruz. When you get right down to it, RL hasn’t officially endorsed a particular candidate. In the end he’ll support the GOP nominee.
If you really think that rush does not lie..you have been deluded to a great degree. He calls it comedy or a “bit” but.. his claims to power lie a bit lower after
“operation chaos”
I can’t wait until after Trump wins and turns hard left on the friendly guy Joe Biden.
I’m sure when Obama and Sanders meet next week for their private lunch, the Bern will be informed Hildabeast will be indicted and out and Joe Biden is going to be our candidate, that’s why he felt so positive about the 2016 election at the DNC luncheon yesterday.
Probably so.
I always remember Rush speaking of incrementalism.
Trump is surrounding himself with good people and listening to good advice - Jeff Sessions, for one.
Trump may just be the baseball bat needed to beat the way into the White House, bringing in many conservative people with him. He’s the battering ram. He’s the one who can win. Look who is voting - Trump is the celebrity name and fame needed to get votes from everywhere.
If Trump gets the door open and brings in a slough of conservative people, is this not a good thing? Is it better to run a person like Cruz, who will not win over anyone from the left, and lose?
I thought I'd heard everything by now but, I can't recall anyone else saying anything of the sort.
What has he lied about?
I think the latter explanation is true, he’s hoping that if Trump wins he will shakeup the establishment. Rush will be sadly disappointed. Trump has a terrible record, and he has already signaled he wants to be part of the political establishment. The presidency is just another thing for Trump to cross off his bucket list. He doesn’t care how he gets there, so long as everyone has to call him President Trump.
Yeah he got on board with Romney eventually. But you could tell he never liked it.
I saw a clip last night on the news and he lied about supporting George W. Bush’s immigration policy.......and then we find out he authored it. ........Cruz is not ready for prime time at all. He is a natural liar. Someone who says the lie but believes it.....very dangerous.
That’s funny. I can’t wait for Trump to take a hard left come summer.
Yes she is, but she supports Trump, so she can't be objective.
Or something like that.
