But Trump would no doubt. It’s right up his alley.

Yeah, right. I never heard of it on here before or when Palin and the Tea Party were endorsing him for the Senate.

Doesn’t change the fact that he has pages of endorsements from politicians and public figures, more than Trump does, and that he has great parents and a loving wife and family.

Some things are absolutely legal.

They can also be absolutely stupid. This is one of them.

What has always bugged me about the guy, and which I did not harp on because it seemed subjective, is his demeanor. The condescending smirk, the appearance of arrogant patronizing. This tends to confirm what my gut has always told me about him - that while he might be on the right, he is very much an example of Orwell’s pigs being more equal than the other animals. It tracks with his apparent theological idiosyncrasies and inability to develop working relationships with other senators. W may have been stating simple, unvarnished truth, as much as his swipe offended me at the time.

I agree!

This is the second time I have been well pleased with Mr. Trump’s effective and personalized contact with his supporters ... The first time was his Christmas card!

Thanks for adding me to your ping list, also!
Please keep me on it ~

His own people have evidently confirmed he was doing it.

I read it a few minutes ago.

Compare this Cruz tactic to the Trump mailer that went out with information on exactly where to caucus, how to caucus and a voter registration form included in case you need one. There are instructions etc... I thought that was a nice touch telling folks how long the process takes and exactly where to go to vote for Trump. Pure class.

If Sen. Cruz would have sent out a similar mailer then it he might have garnered some votes. Don’t you think this will be on all the local news stations and on local talk radio in Iowa. Folks are fed up with politics as usual and the Cruz campaign goes out and pulls this stunt.

I blame his campaign guru. It will leave a very bad taste in potential voter’s mouths, even with those that didn’t receive a notice.

Think about it, all those Trump targeted got a very nice letter invitation with instructions and everything needed to caucus. The Cruz mailer had big RED letters essentially calling you a maggot...no instructions on where to caucus or how. What a maroon move.

This CANNOT POSSIBLY be real!

If it is then the term "jumped the shark" no longer is relevant.

This regresses to the "cow jumped over the moon."

Another strategic move by THOSE SEEKING POWER. Geezus!!!

Quick, bring out the fainting couches for the pearl clutchers!

Amazing that Trump fans, of all people, would complain about tactics.

Calling your opponents names like a middle schooler does is okay. Calling the people of Iowa stupid is okay. Skipping a debate because your guy is afraid to face hard questions from chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly is okay. Attacking your opponent’s character is okay. Lying about your opponent’s record is apparently okay, too. Especially is your guy is Trump or Rubio. Their fans will make all kinds of excuses for their rotten tactics and, in Trump’s case, rotten behavior.

But this mailer is beyond the pale!

LOL, put a halmet on.

Oh, btw, extensive research shows that shaming mailers generate turnout by people who don’t usually vote to go out and counter their neighbors’ votes. If reaseach didn’t support this, campaigns would not do it.

“It’s safe to say Cruz is not involved in personally approving every mailer that goes out and most likely had not seen this one before it went out.”

It’s safe to say he isn’t fit for high office then.

It’s real. His campaign manager seems to think highly of the tactic. Wow.

Good point. It could have been a dirty trick, maybe a disgruntled worker.

“Ted found out about this just this morning while reading the newspaper. He was outraged and fired the responsible party, a 19 year old political science major from Iowa State named Galen.”

Man, that’s a familiar MO.

It doesn’t need justifying....looks like Cruz adopted a Trump tactic so you Trupsters should be celebrating he’s grown some mojos and worthy of admiration.
