If you listen closely you’ll find that this is what liberals are saying. They want morality to be a thing of the past, replaced with “human values” rather than one coming from a higher spiritual level.

When I was in high school, in the late 60s, it was absolutely universally accepted that Hitler was “right-wing” and “conservative.” Every real conservative at that time had to deal with the “truth” that he was on the Hitler end of the political spectrum
