Isn’t it interesting that none of these refugees choose to or are accepted by their brother Arabs in other middle east countries. i.e. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya. You would think they would flee to a country that shares their religious values and culture. The Europeans are fool and it looks like we are to follow.
There were basically four Middle Eastern countries that had a willing nature for Syrian/Iraqi refugees (Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, and Egypt). The problem in each case...beyond the camp....that was it. Jobs are practically non-existent and shelter/food situation is minimal. If you said this was for 6 months...they would have accepted that...but we are now onto the 4th year of the conflict.
I will note...if you lined up options logically. Just going to Europe as a whole...is not bright. Italy, Portugal and Spain will give you almost no real support and the jobs market is lousy.
Greece would be the worst possible option for economic and racist reasons.
Germany has ranked at the top of choices. They’ve offered better shelter, potential jobs exist (debatable topic), and at least in 2014/2015....the bulk of German society accepted the refugees.
Religious values really didn’t fit into this process of thinking.
