The name calling has descended to the immature kindergarten level.

This is one reason why the devil feels empowered to bother us with his jihadist slaves. If we get demoralized, we won’t even be thinking about one another. We’ll only be thinking about ourselves. And his minions will eat our lunches.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2015/04/10/mike_lee_on_3_gop_candidates_strengths_weaknesses_126222.html

Sen. Mike Lee is in a unique position as the 2016 Republican primary field takes shape: Though not running himself, he’s close to three colleagues - Marco Rubio, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz...

Lee called the trio “three of my very closest allies in the Senate” at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, joking that it’s the first time he’s had that many co-workers seeking the Oval Office. He said he doesn’t expect to endorse one of them, mostly because that would be tantamount to “unendorsing” the other two.

The way I have read so many Trump supporters bash, malign, belittle, demonize and slander not only Cruz, but also anyone who supports Cruz, reminds me of an infiltrating cabal, set to divide and sow discontent. It’s been happening for weeks. It is one thing to support your side and it’s another to attack in the same manner Kerry was attacked on these pages back in 2004. I have held my “tongue” until now. It’s gotten too vicious to ignore and let pass by. If this is the mindset of Trump minions, he won’t have my vote, or many others I know, come November.....IF he does get the nod.

As a drafted representative of Trumpbot Central I say this: you might have an oversensitive idea of what constitutes Cruz “bashing.”

Yes, Cruz is electable. He showed that by his come from nowhere run in Texas and that his favorable rating is way above Trump’s and his general election polling matchup against the Dem is way better than Trump’s.

Levin is a fantastic host and spokesman for conservatism. It’s time to start being so single-minded that anyone who criticizes Trump is some kind of traitor to the cause. Levin has said he’ll support Trump in the general if he gets the nom. He fairly criticizes anybody who deviates from conservatism for those specific issues. He has been 100% honest. His agenda is my agenda, so I’m glad he’s trying to get his agenda across.

Conservative policy takes care of the job problem. We need to improve the schools by privatizing them so students don’t enter the work force with horrible skills. We need to stop handing out student loans like candy for any useless degree the student wants. We need to cut taxes, regulations and Obamacare costs on businesses to unleash job creators. You can’t criticize constitutional conservatism when we haven’t had a president who’s tried it in years.

This CHART has been tossed out on the forum for four months or more.

Look at those dings on Trump.

Ted is marked as being able to do better on the budget than Trump.

If Ted has every had to review an extensive budget, I don't know abou it.

Trump has had over 40 years watching is own bottom line, and making sure it remained positive.  He has a number of super top rate finance men that have volunteered to work in the White House for free, to help get the budget under control, and start paying down the national debt.  And yet Levin marked Trump off for Budget, Spending, and Debt.  That's not even close to reality.

On what Basis was Ted marked good on those things?  He has not experience at all.

Civil liberties?  What is Levin talking about there?  Illegal Aliens, and Trumps plan to send them home?  He's going to trash Trump for that?  Not allowing terrorists to come to our soil.  He's going to ding him for that (Syrian Refugees)?

Then there's Free Markets.  We are losing our shirt on trade.  We have between 40 and 90 million out of work right now, and Levin seems to think that's better than making sure trade is fair, and our citizens have jobs.  He even dings Cruz on that one.  Levin is just way off base on this, to be charitable.

Health Care and Entitlements?  Another Red?  This is crazy.  Trump is going to work with Congress to end Obamacare, and replace it with a robust private sector replacement.  Leving should have know that almost eight months ago.

What moral issues is he referring to there?  Trump has said he would defund Planned Parenthood.  He later said he would only defund the abortion part of the agency, but we all know it's totally abortion driven, so he'll find that out and the agency will be addressed.  Levin knows this.  He is playig very fast and loose here with Trump, and it isn't reasoned.

Trump has a position paper on the Second Amendment.  It is deemed by everyone to be a great outline.  He promotes CCW people to use their permit to make the country safer.  Leving is not being honest here, and I don't appreciate it.

Trump has a tax plan that most people think moves us in a very good direction.  Eveyrone gets a tax cut except for the upper scale.  Corporations are going to get some relief so they can bring their money home from overseas, so this will balance out.

So this chart is very flawed.  Levin should never have put it up.  And this Isara guy should not have been posting it here since October or perhaps before.

Last August, Trump made clear he thought Cruz had no issues with any NBC questions, according to all the lawyers he had talked to. when it appeared Cruz was closing in in Iowa, Trump made the issue a new issue. The Trump-ites quickly pounced. Perhaps, Cruz became that "meddlesome priest" and the King might regret his words should Cruz be wrongly slaughtered on the altar of getting the deal done, at any and all costs.

I actually think Rubio is going to get it......shutter. But it has been a typical primary here and as far as primaries go, I actually thought 2012 was worse. But I am guilty for being anti-Cruz only because I am very passionate about finally getting a strong leader for President and I think that is Trump. Cruz has his positives and I think they work very well for the Supreme Court. I don’t see Cruz being able to legislate because he is too stern which will not work as President. He is not likable at all. I can’t imagine having to hear that sneer of his everyday for 8 years. But I would love him on the Supreme Court where he can write all the final briefs and be as curt as he wants.

I wish I could stay up and discuss further but I have to get to bed or I am in deep trouble with the wife and getting up for Mass in the morning. Good night. Talk with you tomorrow.

Different year, different campaign styles.

There is a picture of the ones the Dems used at HuffPo. I would post it, but you’re not worth the time.

Go fling feces elsewhere.

But again... maybe Trump didn’t check with the right specialists.

Cboldt found what looked like a pretty bad precedent for Cruz, the Bellei case. If Congress can take your citizenship away, you were not NBC.

Congress seems to be able to take anything they wish away from the People. They ignore the Constitution and the Rights bestowed by God as much as that dumbo eared son of a dirt chugging cur that currently infests the Oval Office.

So while Ted is counting on Trump’s not appealing to “true conservatives”, (and that seems to be working), it is telling the “moderates”, and the GOP establishment, and the Reagan Democrats that Donald Trump is just what they have been asking for!

And that is the truth. I am hoping that Trump just accomplishes a couple of the things he is proposing. And after destroying the PC narrative in this country, he can leave the office to a more conservative office holder that will continue the winning. As things stand right now, there is no way the country can be lurched back to the conservative purity demanded by so many here at FR. It will have to be done in degrees. Trump the pragmatic nationalist followed by a constitutional conservative (if there is such a thing anymore)

The voters of the nation just want someone with common sense. They know things about about to go into the toilet....that its all being propped up so that the magic one doesn’t look bad. About three days after Obama leaves office all the homeless stories will return (Where is Mitch Snyder hiding these days?) It will all be Trump’s fault. Didn’t pay your electric bill and the power is off....Its Trump’s fault...Unwed mother can’t afford milk for the baby cause she used all the money for crank....Trump’s fault. Transgenders can’t get matching pumps in size 14...Trump’s fault.

Trump will tell them to all go to He$$ and after a while folks will start thinking about doing things themselves instead of expecting the government to pay for their size 14 heels.

And after that...The possibility that this country can return to its greatness can begin...

That is my hope.

Well this was a USSC case from the 70’s.

Yeah, Ted COULD try to tough it out, and Trump may even have had hopes for a possible joint run with Ted, but to me it looks like the handwriting went on the wall.

This does NOT put Ted out of the national picture if he bows to the obvious. It WOULD give Ted a different role.

Like it or not, people want different things from presidents than they do from Senators. This is a brutal row to hoe. Just by wanting it, Trump is already one in millions.

The Donald knows the politicians and how they line their pockets with “Baksheesh” money to keep them off their backs. He is pulling away the curtain to the wolves at the doors of America’s free enterprise. He knows the game well because he has dealt with the wolves in order to make a successful business empire. They are the gatekeepers who will run capitalists through the Catch 22 machine if they do not dance to their shakedown tunes. They are corrupt to the core and will sell their mothers for greed and power. The Donald knows them and how they sell America down the river. This is why Sarah Pallin, in her endorsement of Trump, said, as The Donald nodded in approval:

“The permanent political class has been doing the bidding of their campaign donor class and that’s why you see that the borders are kept open. For them, for their cheap labor that they want to come in. That’s why they’ve been bloating budgets. It’s for crony capitalists to be able to suck off of them. It’s why we see these lousy trade deals that gut our industry for special interests elsewhere.
We need someone new, who has the power, and is in the position to bust up that establishment.”

Those who criticize Trump for crony capitalism have never owned a huge company and have never had to deal with the public sector on the scale that Trump has.

Those who criticize Trump have no clue to the history of Ronald Reagan. As a Democrat he was elected president of the Screen Actors Guild in 1947. You would think he was all in for the unions. However, he fought the movie industry unions because he believed they were infiltrated by communists. It was Reagan’s allegations against friends and colleagues that led to tension in his marriage to Jane Wyman, eventually resulting in their divorce. This shows how Reagan’s dedication to principles, led him to become the defeater of Communism, a true Conservative and this century’s best President. Trump, because of his dedication to principles, will be this century’s next great President.
