You captured Ted Cruz “exactly”, as he likes to say! Ted has be proposing and Ted has been talking, and Ted has gotten nothing done. While he was talking and proposing, Ted also burned all his bridges to the Senate and most of the House. So one can anticipate that when Ted is President he will continue to talk and propose and nothing will get done.

Exactly. Everyone running against Trump is all talk. No action. Good luck with that!

OK, lets look at the field:

You have two young, clean, articulate first-term Senators who give good speeches, Rubio and Cruz, talking, and Obama has gotten everything he wanted from the Congress. One is a natural-born Canadian, and the other is an anchor baby. Great! Why do we need this grief?

You have a former Governor of Florida who sent the Florida Retirement Fund to Lehman Brothers, then went to work for them until Lehman Brothers was allowed to fail.

You have the current Governor of Ohio who also spent time at Lehman Brothers! And his father was a mailman! He has a decent record as Governor, but he has trouble putting a persuasive national campaign.

You have the current Governor of New Jersey, who didn’t know his aides were messing with the George Washington bridge to get even with a Mayor who had dissed them. Again, pretty good record, but no persuasive national campaign.

I really like Rand Paul. He tried to broaden the base by going to places Republicans don’t go to, and talking to people Republicans don’t talk to. But, Rand made a deal with Mitch McConnell so Rand could run for Senate and President at the same time. Now Rand could loose both.

I really like Ben Carson. He is the most honest of them all. Yes, nutrition can help cure cancer, and there are overcomers in every cult. His supporting PAC is questionable, but he has mounted a persuasive campaign, at least for a while.

Mike Huckabee is another former Governor turn talk show host. Good administrator, knows where the Clinton’s buried the bodies. National campaign just never took off.

Rich Santorum is a failed Senate and Presidential Candidate, but a great conscience for the country on abortion and other abominations. National campaign just never took off.

Carly Fiorina ruined Lucent, then went on for a repeat on Hewlett-Packard. I don’t know if she knew about the attempted bribery in Russia, but if not, she should have and should have stopped it. Again, one debate blip, then nothing.

So you have Donald Trump who has been, literally, building things around the world. In fact he has built such a great organization that he can run, full-time, for President and things still continue to get done. He is building his transition team headquarters at 1100 Pennsylvania Ave! It will be open in time, ahead of schedule and under budget. He has gotten more for his, and his small contributors, than any other candidate.

Donald Trump has demonstrated over and over again what he means by The Art of the Deal. The latest flap over the FOX News debate was just the latest example. Look at what he did in a very short time. And he did this as a leader of his very small organization. Donald Trump would be the first President in a long time who was actually running the show without “handlers”. No one handles Donald Trump.

So, as I see it, the only way we can hope to change the direction of the country is to put a master builder and negotiator in charge. I would like to see him pick a Vice President that could carry on after him. Rand Paul seems to be a good choice for that, and apparently Sarah Palin thinks so too.
