Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska bristled during a Monday interview on NBC's "Today" show when she was pressed about her provocative comments about her son's arrest and post-traumatic stress disorder.
"You guys brought me here to talk about Iowa politics and the caucus tonight — not to talk about my kids," Palin said. "And that was a promise. But as things go in the world of media, you guys don't always keep your promises, evidently."
Track Palin, a veteran who is Palin's oldest child, was charged last month in a domestic-violence case "in which his girlfriend said he punched her in the head and threatened to fire a rifle, court and police documents said," according to The New York Times.
Palin alluded to the arrest at a January rally for Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
The 2008 vice-presidential candidate, who endorsed Trump in this year's race around the same her son's arrest became public, referred at the rally to the "elephant in the room" and what she said her family was going through "personally" before suggesting that PTSD was to blame. Some veterans criticized Palin for promoting a stereotype of the dangerous veteran.
"It's a shame that our military personnel even have to wonder, if they have to question if they're respected anymore. It starts from the top," Palin said at the rally. "The question, though, it comes from our own president, when they have to look at him and wonder, 'Do you know what we go through?'"

First rule in reading any quote from the media - if the words “anonymous sources”, or “someone within the party” or other vague source or no name means liar liar statement!
as a person with a head injury, it worries me Very Much that too many guys are being tagged with PTSD when they might have a brain injury that only healed so much.
the symptoms are so wide ranging and horrifying but can’t be explained yet by science that they are thrown into PTSD.
waking up with tremors and very realistic nightmares, anxiety, depression, brutal pain.
those aren’t always psychosomatic.
i have these dreams sometimes where it’s like my mind is, for example, trying to figure out the number of blue.
in other words, something that can’t be solved and it computers numbers etc. based on what i dont know. ask my brain lol.
the theory is it is still trying to heal itself after all these years and doesn’t now how.
our guys DONT DESERVE to be committing suicide at the rate they are.
but i fear we are quite far from any kind of medication or cure for long term brain injury.
however, i wouldn’t mind diverting BILLIONS from welfare and snap.

Who is the female interviewer? I thought Matt Lauer was ready to apologize and move on, but she pounced on Mama Bear. Ooops....Mama Bear defended her cub!
Unintended consequence....a passionate statement from Palin's heart about why Trump should be President.
I actually like the NBC interviewers lately. They're tough, but know how far to push it. This time, Palin could not written a better script for herself. I'm optimistic that it elevated Trump and Palin in many viewers estimations.

We are battered day in and day out, yet with our faith and convictions, we support him all the way, not just for Trump but for what he represents: AMERICA...
We want a wall and borders; We want jobs back in our country for jobs and economy; We want better health care; We want a tax plan that works; We want to show the Vets and Wounded Warriors they are OUR heroes; We want an immigration plan that will only allow those who want to help build America to belong as a ‘real citizen’...
These are the things that America can provide for her people if we put the right person in office and that person is Donald J. Trump!!!
