FR Help With Strange Happening!

When accessing the "Pings" page or any other page within FR I get a message box with the following message: ( See Below )

"The server www.the-snackbar.com is asking for your user name and password. The server reports that it is from Forum."

Here is a screen shot of the message box:

From where in the world is this coming? Has anyone else see this? Yes, I am logged in. No, a moose did not bite my sister. No, all of your base are belong to me. Yes, it is hugh and/or series. No, I am not going to take a shower. Did I miss any? ;-)

I can simply cancel the message box but I am curious about the origin of this message. I have checked add-ons, etc and everything else I know to check. HELP, PLEASE! ;-)

You should not used any server named Snackbar - its too easily confused with Allahakbar ...

The-snackbar.com looks to be a private gaming server. Not sure why a FR link is triggering a login prompt..

Something that always bothered me is the legitimacy of a “cancel” button from an unknown source. I could program a choice box myself to have “cancel” activate a macro that actually gave permission for downloading malware. I’ve read that the safest way to delete one of these boxes is by going down to the task bar and deleting it from there. But most of these popups don’t show up in the task bar. What’s the safest way to cancel one?

I had the same message box pop up on my computer last night (2/1/16); it was the first time I’ve ever seen it.

I had FreeRepublic open. I had another site open, too, so I didn’t have a clue as to which site had caused the pop-up to appear.
