The Douglas County School District in Colorado, under fire for saying that schoolgirls might have to cover up from head to ankle for a field trip to a Muslim mosque, has confirmed that such Shariah requirements will be enforced on the outing.
“Students who choose to attend the [Rocky Heights Middle School] world religion field trip are expected to respect the dress code of the host facility,†the school said in a statement posted online.
The explanation followed a firestorm of criticism of the school for announcing the field trip for seventh-grade students and including a note that the Shariah dress code could be enforced.

Unless they visit each, Christian sect’s church, a Catholic Church, each Jewish sect’ts Temple, each Buddhist sect’s temple, Wiccans, Native American sweat lodge, and listen to an atheist presentation, I cry foul! My kid would not be allowed to go.

That school needs to show ZERO PERCENT participation!!! Stand up for your kids rights, for goodness sake!!! If they don’t, they’re showing their kids that they will be expected to follow all INSANE requirements laid down by the PC cops!

Oh brother. I thought this was something that the school was implementing for the entire year. This is to go on a field trip. Not sure why the girls have to do this as they typically have clothes at the mosques for them to borrow and wear.
Try taking them on a field trip to a catherdral or church
Believe it or not, they will just say that it is history or some crap.
Repeat after me, SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE...
Instead of taking a bunch of innocent kids to a Muslim ammo dump and Command Post and forcing them to dress and act like the enemy, just horsewhip the principal and tell the teacher she is next if you hear another word suggesting such a thing.

Ok, I don't see a problem here - with a couple of caveats.
One, fine, as long as it is voluntary and students who choose not to participate are in no way penalized relative to students who do go.
Two, fine, it is reasonable to respect their religious sensitivities and laws - as long as they do not conflict with ours and they similarly respect ours.
Funny, the MSM and libtards seem to have a real hard time with those simple concepts. I've never understood why various religious, ethnic, or other groups of the "protected" classes the liberals so ardently "guard" don't see liberals' attitude for the deep insult that it is. Consider, liberals want us to walk on eggshells and show "cultural sensitivity" to say Muslims, or gays, or who-ever so as not to offend them. Ok, fine, who is looking out for my sensitivities? Not only does the liberal outlook represent a tremendous double standard (nothing new for them) it is a teeth-grinding insult to the people they are "protecting." With their demands of sensitivity they are basically saying the Muslims, gays, et. al. are not sophisticated enough, not intelligent enough to cut me some slack for my cultural insensitivity. That we have to accommodate them so as not to set them off.
Me, I would take that as a terrible insult. I realize other people are, well, different and I'm more than willing to cut them some slack and I expect the same from them. I don't need them condescending to me to avoid hurting my feelings. You want to piss me off, treat me like I can't handle the real world. The liberal's outlook on others represents the worst kind of deep-seated condescension and sense of superiority.
This is what happens when the Unions get their nose under the tent.
Until this fall, all 7 DCS board members were conservative.
The national, state, and local unions poured money in and seated 3 union members.
I will investigate and report back.
