Why don’t you see it? He beats Hillary in the RealClearPolitics average. Getting tired of seeing people say Cruz can’t win the general. They’re buying into the classic GOPe RINO meme that only moderates can win in the general which has been proven wrong OVER AND OVER. And they’re ignoring all available polling data.

As for the record, Cruz got 51,000 votes. Previously, Santorum won with 29,000 and Huckabee won with 40,000. Not sure what the breakdown was, but I find it hard to believe he did worse with evangelicals than Huck or Santo with those numbers. The entrance polls also called the election wrong, so they could’ve got all those other stats wrong too.

If the polls really meant that much as a predictor of the future, Trump would've won last night. But he didn't.

Projecting a probable Cruz victory vs. Hillary this far ahead in time in even more silly.

Only a third of Americans are conservative and a quarter are evangelicals.

IA which is 98% white is not really representative of America and neither is NH.

Cruz has his work cut out for him and NH isn’t exactly what any one would call Cruz country.

His victory is fantastic, historic and impressive.

Personally I just fear the Clintons are unstoppable. Just look at how they stole victory from Sanders. The corruption is pretty much well...complete, and they have tens of thousands of toadies around the country eager to assist.

And...this is definitely an instance when I am eager to be utterly wrong. Cruz’s whole campaign is based on the assumption/premise/hope that there really are hundreds of thousands of (more or less) conservatives who are largely side-lined and who will come out for him. I will begin praying that that is truly the case.

Are you listening to yourself?

“Getting tired of seeing people say Cruz can’t win the general.

How are presidents Santorum and Huckabee doing these days?

Glad Cruz did well, and I’ll vote for him if he wins the nomination, but I agree that Cruz can’t win the general. He’s just another pasty, white, traditional republican. He has zero crossover appeal, lacks name and face recognition among the voters that decide general elections, and has the citizenship thing hanging over his head.

.
You are not recognizing concern trolling when you see it.

Of course Cruz will win the general; that is what is pissing them off.
