Trump Says He’ll Probably Sue Over Iowa Results, Accuses Cruz Of “Voter Fraud”

Donald Trump says he will probably sue over the results of the Iowa caucuses, accusing Ted Cruz of committing voter fraud to win.

In an interview on Boston Herald Radio on Wednesday, Trump criticized the Cruz campaign for spreading a CNN report saying Ben Carson would not travel to New Hampshire and South Carolina after the Iowa caucuses, suggesting Carson was getting out of the race. Cruz apologized to Carson on Tuesday for his campaign not sending out updates that Carson was doing laundry and not dropping out

"One of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. They said he was quitting the race and to vote for him," said Trump.

Asked if he would sue, Trump said, "I probably will, what he did is unthinkable. He said the man has left the race and he said it during the caucus. And then when the clarification was put out by Ben Carson saying it's untrue, they got the statement and they didn't put it out."

Lol, the talking points for the anti-Trump crew have been handed out late last night!

I still can’t get over how King is not dragged into this mess, he is as much a part of it as Cruz. So disappointed in him, he definately knows better, or so I believed.

Let hope for Cruz but keep Donald on as his VP!

The flyer was definitely fraud as they caucus in towns with their neighbors/friends. Those flyers Cruz put out would scare a number of elderly and some single women into voting like their neighbor. Saying what he did about Carson was clearly fraud.

I know that so many of us Freepers have been split among Trump and Cruz (for fairness I am one of the Cruz supporters) and frankly I think which of the 2 wins would have gotten pretty much all of our support anyhow.

But why would Donald put himself in this position? This is going to completely overwhelm the goodwill he got from his concession speech, which was terrific. I can’t see the upside. Does he honestly think Iowa voters were too stupid to change their vote because of this?

Carson’s support was falling long before the Caucus because of his debate performances, particularly the foreign policy issues that he was not ready to handle. If they could switch that easily they weren’t solid to begin with.

I hope he rethinks this quickly. His credibility is something that put him in this position, this will make him look just like so many ‘politicians’ and he throws any that advantage.

We need a truly competitive race for the next few months to get our candidates ready; I would hate to see him fall off a cliff, even if it helps Cruz. Keep the focus on our issues, not political masturbation.

“While I don’t think in the particular case that Trump is making the right call (and I don’t believe he is really going to sue, he’s just trying to keep attention on the Iowa shenanigans by linking outrageous statements to it), it’s nice to see a Republican fighting for once.”

True, but not at the cost of violating the 11th amendment. Trump really just needs to work harder at reaching his target audience. If the polls are correct, this should be a cakewalk for Trump. The only thing I can possibly think as to why Trump is doing this is to convert those young Sanders voters who have absolutely no clue what they attached themselves to by supporting Sanders and coming over to Trump.

Cruz’s supporters should have instead implied that Carson is not a natural born citizen, because that’s a slander that Trump and his supporters would be happy about.

This whining petulance is but a sample of what you’re going to see from Trump whenever he doesn’t get his way. The man doesn’t have the temperament to be dogcatcher let alone President.

You can shiv your way to the presidency or SUE your way to the presidency, but not both. Lawsuits are for girls.

I’m thinking DT doesn’t even want to be POTUS anymore. Does he think NH and especially SC will be impressed with his twitter meltdowns?

He should have ran as a DUmocrat and return the party to any semblance of sanity, but he missed that opportunity.

Sheesh. This site has been filled throughout the years of frustration at how Republicans won't fight back over fraud.

Ok, humor me. What "fraud" was allegedly committed here?

The deflection is coming entirely from Trump supporters.

Does it not bother you in the least that Trump appears to be losing his sanity?

Do you have evidence of Rubio’s involvement?

To suggest that any supporter would be ok with that is a false accusation. The issue isn’t because it’s Trump, try and focus here on this one topic...the issue is what Cruz did and has apologized for doing. I’m still waiting for King to issue an apology.

In the meantime, please point us to Rubio’s involvement.

It will be Rubio in the end, the script has been written.

Maybe Trump is a plant....and not for real, it is just idiotic—and yes, politics is ALWAYS DIRTY and the good guy finishes like Rand Paul. You can’t make it to the top without stepping on others....just not possible.

Rubio is the winner if this continues—exactly what the establishment wants. A cute little bent over boy on a leash led by the Muslim Brotherhood.

DT took his followers’ sanity ‘round the bend when his went ka-blooey a month ago. Some of his people are slowly backing away from the train wreck, some people are inexplicably being newly drawn to it.
