Hey DoughtyOne, you have to admit that the pictures were sure scary. /s

IMHO, Glenn Beck, David Barton, and the Pac Master billionaire “David Mercer” with his “Cambridge Analytica”, and controlling stake in Breitbart.com; now that is scary.

Not to forget the mystery why in hell Mercer funded the startup of a Pro-Carly super-Pac.

I still say that we regular, normal humans have no concept of just what it means to be a billionaire. Think about it when musing over just what is going on.

How do you explain “global Warming”, Common Core, complete breakdown of the immigration laws, muslims shoved down our gullets and ........... why bother we are helpless.

All I know is that some folks are deathly afraid of a guy that has adopted our policies, Has the CEO experience that will be necessary, and has the energy to see that they actually get acted on.

Yeah and not to mention, gets up early, has his own plane, a family that has his back, has his own money and can call most anyone on his phone and they answer. He has been there and done that.

Trump has also sinned in ways that most men would welcome and has lived to tell about it and prepared to leave all that behind and use all his talents and resources in ways that benefit you, me and all our friends and families.

I agree with most of that very much.

At the same time I think Trump made some big mistakes along the way.

I don’t see him as the second coming like others see their candidate.

I recognize his blemishes.

Wish others could do the same, and not just Trump’s crewz.

I don’t believe Trump will get into the weeds of budgets and let Congress pass CR’s. I think Cruz will gut many agencies if not eliminate them.

Someone needs to go after agency budgets where the bulk of the money goes to goverment employees in salary, benefits and “promises” of future defined benefit pensions which should be stopped.

Donald Trump got cheated in Iowa. Cruz lied about Carson and ran a voter shaming campaign

Total BS. Do you believe everything the lying MSM report?

Are you saying 6,000 voters were stupid enough to swing to Cruz based on this (not) "lie?" Or 25,000 voters changed their minds from Carson?

How is it someone can claim to be lifetime conservative but always working for the govt?

I think we can separate men in women in uniform...

I was just trying to point out that a blanket statement like the first one is misleading. We need more true conservatives in government. If a principled conservative dedicates his efforts to getting himself in a position to fix government, we should support him, not berate him.

I'm reminded of the fairy tale where a rich man and a poor man die and arrive at St. Peter's gate at the same time. St. Peter doesn't see the poor man but let's the rich man in and there's a magnificent celebration. Afterwards, St. Peter returns to the gate, sees the poor man, and let's him in. A great celebration is held, but not as great as the one for the rich man. The poor man feels bad that his celebration was not as big and says to St. Peter that he's disappointed that heaven is the same as earth where the best goes to the rich. St. Peter replies that he shouldn't feel bad. They had the big celebration because poor people get into heaven every day, but it's so rare for a rich person.

The poor man is like a conservative soldier. The rich man is like a true conservative politician. We should rejoice at the prospect and not be so close minded as to think there is no such thing.

wow. That sign really brings back memories. I was part of the Sore-Loserman protest that went to Joe Lieberman’s house, and in Time’s Square in 2000. I held one of those signs for many hours. . .

We didn’t go to someone’s house out here, but we did go to the government building in Westwood, and protest en mass.

We and other groups combined to put about 250 people out there for four weeks running...

Well, I didn’t vote for Bush, but when it came to Gore vs Bush, Bush was the go to guy.

We need more true conservatives in government.-——Sure. I am not arguing that. We can get true conservatives to serve after they made their bones in the private sector.

Thank you for your comments. I had come close to closing my chapter at Free Republic because I felt that you had completely lost control of it. I don’t know if there are trolls that have invaded your forum, but the mood has been nasty and ugly. This used to be a place where people could exchange honest ideas without fear of being flamed. That is no longer the case. An army of self important belligerents have invaded because they have been totally blinded by their ‘need’ to force their candidate on everyone else and damn all that don’t agree with them. I used think that it was some deep need for personal validation with some of these people, but now I believe that this forum has been invaded by some crazies. If that is the case, then it is sad, because they have brought the level of FR down to the level of the Democratic Underground. This would mean that we would be as well respected as the DU. I have no desire, or need to participate in this venue if that is they case. I will continue to read the posts until I decide that it is a complete waste of time.
