CNN’s Brooke Baldwin Calls Ted Cruz Statement ‘B.S.’
CNN ^ | February 3

CNN has accused the campaign of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz of making false statements about the network's reporting on the campaign of GOP rival Ben Carson. "Senator Cruz's claims about CNN are false," the network said in a statement Wednesday evening. "At no point did the network indicate Dr. Carson would suspend his campaign."

The network's reporting-that Carson would make a trip to Florida before resuming his campaign-came as voters in Iowa were preparing to make the first solid votes of the 2016 campaign. CNN's statement said "Dr. Carson's staff informed CNN that he would return home to take a 'deep breath' before resuming his activities on the trail. That information was reported accurately by CNN across TV and digital."

I heard the announcement on 77wabc (before the caucus)and I thought gee, why is he quitting now. That was very much the impression I had.

My husband said Carson did this on purpose, I don’t particularly agree with him on that but it’s another opinion, why not.

Cruz is gonna go down over this. He’s a friggin liar.

He has hired a team of advisers who are experts at manipulating the media and social media. They are the ones that came up with the “shaming mailer” and the intentional misinformation about Carson and rump at the Iowa caucus. These guys are seasoned pros and know how far they can stretch the truth and still get away with it.

I doubt whether the latest misdeeds will sink the Cruz candidacy but they are adding to the perception that he will do anything to win and also that he is a nasty guy. Of course this is what was being said about him even before he started his presidential campaign from just about everyone who has ever known him personally. I don’t know much about how he was raised but he seems like someone who didn’t get typical socialization with other children.

It might just be that he was smarter than many of the children around him and didn’t get along well with them because of that. I have a niece like that. She has a very high IQ and graduated several years early, but socially she is very inept. She is a sweetheart in most ways, but can be quite nasty at times.

they were not going to stop even then because they knew it was their chance to grab Carson’s votes and all they would have to do later was say sorry... by then the prize was theirs.. victory at all costs.. intimidate voters with shame letters to scare old folks and steal people’s votes from those who spent months doing their duty as good Americans listening to the candidates, going to meetings and rallies and waiting hours to vote.. and the Cruz people just went in there, defrauded them and laughed up a storm as they took the votes,, and then Cruz in his “victory” speech for 30 minutes thanks God all over the place and recites scripture likes he’s Benny Hinn.. pretty damn disgusting

Before this race heated up, Free Republic was full of conversations about conservatism and policy. Now members who were rarely seen and heard before have come out of the woodwork, and the conversations seem to be “nasty” this, “unlikeable” that, “slimy”, “liar”, and on and on with no substance.

Cruz has consistent, solid conservative ratings based on his track record. EVERY conservative organization that rates these things puts him at the top of the list.

Some of the ones posting personal attacks against him are liberal trolls, some are GOPe which is just as bad, and some are just easily swayed because they still trust CNN and GOPe and other anticonservative sources.

Wake up people!

Cruz, Trump, and Carson are the conservative outsiders. These are who I support and in that order. Get off the stupid personal attacks and start discussing conservatism. Aren’t you tired of being abused by the uniparty?

If they push Trump out I’ll vote for Carson if he’s still in.

Of course, I don’t get to vote until June.

I’ll vote for any republican but due to the immigration issue Trump’s the only one I’m rooting for…Carson is a good second choice. When he and Trump were properly bashing muslims the others like Ted hid under his senate desk it appeared.

For a change, Ben is wide awake and REALLY angry! And I, for one, don’t blame him at all.

This election must be won by a candidate that is not hell-bent on flooding the country with illegals or the republic dies....it’s that simple.

That leaves us with Trump and Cruz.... Trump I’m very sure of on immigration, Cruz a little less so but he’s far better than any of the rest.

IMO Trump can pull votes from across the spectrum and I give him a very good chance of being elected.

Cruz has a dedicated following who would follow him through hell and back... but IMO the following is too small to be confident of a general election win.

Combine the two men and you can be pretty much guaranteed of a win in the general.

Trump would have to be at the top of the ticket because otherwise the ticket would no longer pull votes from across the spectrum as Cruz is held in low-esteem by most democrats and independents.... like I said his following is fierce but narrow.

The MSM, democrats and GOPee are all doing their best to pit Trump and Cruz against each other so they are both destroyed and the enmity between them will keep them from joining forces.

Both Trump and Cruz have a burning desire to gain the presidency... There is a way for both to become president with a single election...

Trump agrees to serve only one term. I think he only desires one term anyway... time enough to put all his plans into motion and once that is done he will desire to be back as head of his business empire.

So, Trump and Cruz agree that Trump will run only once, for a single term as president. Trump agrees to resign that office before the term is up. This places Cruz into the presidency and makes him the incumbent and well set for election to a full term in 2020. If this is kept quiet and not disclosed to the public Trump’s ability to draw from across the spectrum will not suffer. It still works well enough IMO even if they publicly declare the plan.

This is highly unorthodox of course, but none of this is constitutionally prohibited.

We are at a critical juncture, it is time for bold actions and out-of-the-box thinking. This election must be won! These two champions must come together or the republic is finished.

This whole carson thing wouldn’t be an issue if Cruz hadn’t been claiming

that he was so pure. What was done was pure political. Right out of the

hillary clinton hand book and wouldn’t be sneezed at if the guy who did

it wasn’t claiming he isn’t the typical politician. The guy who claims he

isn’t establishement went establishment on carson. If this was a mistake,

as cruz said it was, and fired the offending parties in his campaign, all

would be forgiven. But he is essentially condoning the behavior by not

firing anyone.

You noticed that too...

Personal attacks like those against other Freepers can only drive people away from the candidate supposedly being defended.

Ted's masks have finally fallen off and he is exposed for what and who he really is.

Cruz is a FRAUD, a LIAR, a WEASEL, and he isn't even eligible to run for the presidency; let alone hold that office.

And NOW, they are after him for not filing the loans....but more important, the CAMPAIGN FRAUD that that entailed.

“Cruz thinks his supporters are stupid and will believe everything he says even though it has been proven by emails, videos, tweets and the clock that they lied about Carson dropping out”

Where did Cruz’s team say Carson was dropping out?

“CNN NEVER said Carson was leaving the race and Cruz knew that”

Neither did Cruz. But I will say it. Carson will be leaving the race. He will not make it to the finish line. I personally like Carson. He is not part of the establishment. Neither is Trump or Cruz. I can support any of them. But Cruz is by far the most conservative candidate. ALL of the conservative organizations who track this rate him at the top. I support him first.

CNN reported that Carson was going home and was skipping NH and SC. See the video for yourself:

http://www.allenbwest.com/2016/02/ben-carson-accuses-ted-cruz-of-foul-play-in-iowa-this-happens-immediately/

“I’m telling you this thing isn’t going away and it’s going to hurt Cruz”

You? Who are you? I suppose it will hurt when the Communist News Network spreads lies about what they reported, when people like you further those lies, and when anti-conservative enemies like Planned Parenthood attack, it will be rough.

Decide who you will side with. GOPe? Hail Satan left? Rove? Rubio? Planned Parenthood? They all hate Cruz. Is that the company you keep? Is that who you trust for your views on Cruz?

“I have already seen on Newsmax tonight Cruz voters switching from him in disgust for what he did to a good man”

Of course those could not have been staged. /s
Did you get as worked up at Trump for comparing Carson to a pedophile?
Do you work for Rove?

no candidate in the history of the world quit a race 5 minutes before his people got to vote in the first primary or caucus.. The Cruz people knew he wasn’t quitting.. and all it would have taken is a 30 second cell phone call to either Carson or his CM to verify it... and because they didn’t do that that means it was all on purpose..

they knew Carson wasn’t quitting that’s the exact reason they never made the 30 second call to Carson or his team to verify it.. pretty simple

they couldn’t care less about Carson and his campaign who put their life and soul into this thing for over a year or Carson’s voters who stayed with him through all of that
