During an interruption from a person Donald Trump described as a "Bernie plant," another audience member shouted out: "Immigrants are the backbone of this country."
"No," Trump responded. "I don't think so, darling. They're not the backbone. I'll tell you what... Let me just tell you something. You know the backbone of our country? People that came to this country legally and they worked their ass off and made this country great."

Well, the idea, like Reagan’s, is right even if the language is different.
A twenty year moratorium on ALL immigration, is what’s needed.
Give that supposed “backbone” a chance to assimilate.

The rest of the pack including Cruz are not willing to address this plainly.
He handled that really well. He also told security “nah, it’s ok. We don’t need any help with these people.” He didn’t have them removed.

Why is Trump the only candidate, strongly stating, without nuance, the obvious? And will enough voters believe him?
Ted Cruz is an illegal.
He did what he set out to do. He made it clear, as Mark Steyn says, that Cruz’s win in Iowa was tainted by shenanigans.
There’s a method to his rants, and then you wake up and realize he was right all along. Cruz can be hit with cheating, and now it’s clear that he just might not have even won Iowa.
Now Trump is back to his signature issue. The demise of our country....starting with illegals.
Trump sure liked those illegal alien Polish workers who did the demolition work for $5/hour with no benefits for his Trump Tower in New York; including asbestos removal without being provided protective equipment.
Cool, Trump is back on-message.
Now if Cruz will drop the Church Lady thing and dropkick Beck thru the goalpost...
