As Barbara Bush hits the trail for her son, Jeb, the former First Lady is campaigning for the first time in almost a decade.
With her visit comes a new jolt of life into her son's campaign...and all the exuberance that comes with the opinionated matriarch of the family.
This morning, she joined her son in Derry, NH at MaryAnn's Diner, where she did all the things a First Lady should.

At his town hall he joked, "Wow, mom, my crowd sizes normally aren't this large. I wonder why/"

Will garner the over 70, female, country club vote.
I wonder if he really has any choice. Seems mommy’s elbowing in whether he likes it or not.
Barbara does have a good sense of humor but her abortion stance turns me off.
Yeb! needs the doyenne to help wipe his nose
Why doesn’t he just drop out of the race rather than continuing this embarassing campaign? The establishment is looking to Rubio to be their horse in the nomination, he has no support from voters, and he was reduced to pleading for an applause at an event in New Hampshire. Their isn’t going to be a Bush Dynasty and how does he think trotting out his mother will change his situation?
Not a Jeb! fan but the woman is devoted to her son and supports him. That, at least, deserves respect.
How perceptive a president would Jeb make? The kind who doesn’t see how wrong it is to have his very elderly mother campaigning with and complaining about how ‘he is an Non-Person!’, with Jeb sitting right there. Even Barbara speaks of Jeb in the third person, due to his passivity and lack of presence.
What a poor excuse for a man. This doofus thinks he has what it takes to be POTUS........no more losers!
With her visit comes a new jolt of life into her son’s campaign...
Attach the electrodes! IT’S ALIVE! IT’S ALIVE!
Good thing she didn't fall and break a hip.
No, I think Yeb! needs to stay in long enough to keep running ads against Mario Rubco until people see what a duplicitous backstabber he is.
Jeb is just a sad, low energy candidate who now wants his mommy to fight his battles for him.
In a shocking political ad, a vengeful mother who thinks her son is picked on because he is whimpy, comes out and threatens to push and shove anyone more popular than her polite “wonderful son”.
In the ad, Barbara Bush threatens to run into the “gang” and push and shove them out of the way, demanding the public listen to Jeb or face the wrath of an angry mother, rather than listening to anything said about the latest poll numbers which show Jeb Bush is unpopular.
Barbara Bush threatens, “When push comes to shove people are going to realize Jeb has real solutions, rather than talking about how popular they are”.
However, these threats seem to be backfiring and seem to reinforce the image of Jeb as a whimpy guy.
One Florida voter said in reaction to the ad, “This guy looks like a mama’s boy. And I don’t like Barbara’s necklace, nor her threats to push everyone else over with the old tractor that’s been parked in the side of the barn too long”.
Another voter in New Hanpshire said, “Despite the threatening nature of the ad, it doesn’t do much to get Jeb out of that low energy mode to sic his mom on others, it sort of makes his low energy campaign now morph into the Geritol campaign”.
“I don’t think America wants a whimpy guy for their President”, said another New Hampshire voter. “This is the time in our history for a whimpy mama’s boy”.
She would probably poll better if she were running herself.
Desperation move on Jeb’s part...he should have dropped out a long time ago.
I’m sure after March 1st he’ll pack it in and move on to a sweet 7 figure salary as a DC lobbyist.
He bragged about his fantasy football team.
I’m thinking lobbyist for FanDuel or DraftKings.
LOL that’s the beauty of being a DC insider. There’s plenty of good times for all.
The other night, during a town hall, she was dozing off while the Jebster was speaking.
